Woodbury Country Club

I am getting married there also 9-10-04, so far, so good. I always wanted an outdoor cocktail hour and they have beautiful grounds!

Thanks everyone!! We are looking at the place on Sunday.. there are so many places I looked at already and there was something I didn't like about each and every one of them. I hope this is the one!

Is anyone having their wedding, or ever been to one, in the upstairs room with the INDOOR cocktail hour at Woodbury CC? I don't like the lower room and the outdoor cocktail hour only comes with that one.
Please tell me what you thought of it.

I agree with maybride. I went today to look at the place. I actually think that this could be it!! The only problem I have is that they don't have my date for the upstairs room but they DO have my date for the downstairs room. There are a few things. I like the upstairs room better and they do have it available BUT for the following week. The downstairs room is okay and the cocktail hour would be outside which would be nice BUT, if it rains, it would have to be in the downstairs room with a wall divider up and we would be in the smaller part of the room for cocktail hour. I personally think it would probably be better to have it upstairs because since it will be July, I think it would be too hot to eat outside anyway. Decisions, decisions... this will be a tough one. Oh, and one more thing... the price I got seemed a little pricey. If anyone wants to know how much so we can compare for July, just FM me.

If you're really happy with the place, and not inflexible about the date, you should go with the place that you want (this one or another one) when it's available, as long as it's within the time frame that you want. I do agree that the cocktail hour would be a little cramped if it would have to be inside (in the downstairs room), but I do believe that they just move the food inside and still have the tables under the tents, so no one gets wet. You need to decide what you're happiest with.

Did you get a quote for a Saturday night or a daytime affair? I got a really good quote for a Sunday day in Oct., which is generally just as much as (and in some places, more than) a date in July. You can FM me if you want.
