Re: Woodbury Country Club

I'm getting married there next October and I love the place. It's got gorgeous grounds, it's off the road and not seen from the road, the prices are very reasonable and the food and services offered look amazing. I can't vouch for anything since I haven't been married yet, but I have yet to hear anything negative about the food or service.

If you want more specific info, FM me. I posted this here since others might want to hear things and will have it in the future if they wish to do a search.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

my sister got married there last year...and we had a gret time...I don't have anything negative to say about it (except maybe that the bridal suite was a bit too small...but that is such a small thing) and I don't think my sister had any negative things either...would you like me to ask her anything specifically?

BTW...there were tons of positives!!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

If you book the downstairs room, you get 2 bridal suites...one with a potty and one without. They are somewhat small, but nice, and really, that's the least of the things I looked for in a reception hall! Good luck and feel free to ask any other questions you want!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

jannshari...my sister had the downstairs...and I mentioned it as being the only negative as a good thing...I agree this is the least of the worries...b/c you are never in the bridal suite!!!!!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

My friend got married there and the only negatives I had were that only one of the bridal suites was set up with food and water and our bride and groom locked ourselves in there, so the rest of us had nothing :( and I didn't like the chairs outside during the cocktail hour, they were just plain plastic that you see in everyone's backyards. Please keep in mind that my negatives could only be because of what the bride asked for, and not what the place usually may do

well, since i'm the next one (i think) to have my reception there (10/11/03), I will post my review! So far, no problems, they have been very accomodating.

Yabbobay...I knew what you meant. I was actually agreeing with you. I was just pointing out the bonus of having 2 bridal suites with the downstairs room.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

I had my wedding there almost 3 weeks ago. Food was terrific, the grounds beautiful, staff is wonderful and everything (with the exception of my cake being decorated wrong) was perfect. The suites downstairs (both of them are yours if your downstairs) are plenty. It goes so fast you're bearly in them. If you have any questions, just FM me. If I get a chance to figure out how to scan them onto the site, I'll send some of the outdoor pictures we took - - the grounds looked amazing.

It is a really nice hall. When we were deciding where to book it was one of our two choices. I actually went to a wedding there in June. I personally dont like the downstairs room - but the food was very tasty and the grounds are really pretty. The service was great too! I am so upset that i missed teh cocktail hour because i absolutely LOVE their fruit display!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

We looked there FI prom was there. I wasnt thrilled with the room and The ony thing that bothered me was that after we looked there the lady called me once a week to see if I was thinking of booking... She once left a message on my answering machine that said We do appreciate a call back. Im having the same problem with a certain photographer I just feel If I want ya Ill call ya.. but otherwise place is great!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

I think you should just call them back. I got a phone call from them, told them that I was very much interested, but didn't know if I would be able to afford them (at the time), and never heard from them again. I know it's annoying for them to keep calling, and you would think that it would be obvious, but if they gave you a quote for a date and someone else is looking for that date, then they would need to know whether they're going to wind up double booking. Just call back and tell them that you've booked somewhere else, as with the other vendors that do it. The only way to stop someone from asking again is by saying no.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

u are absolutly right but why do they have to ask who did u book None of ure business. The photographer keeps saying u will never find someone as good as us..... Who the heck are u? I was a photo major in college and had problems booking a photgrapher cause I found my self picking people apart but woodbury country club i nice I always say u have to decide for ureself. dont listen to other people!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

When they ask who you booked with, tell them that you don't feel comfortable telling them that. It is none of their business, but they are always looking to find out their competition. The photographer that said that is just using the pressure tactic to get you to book, and you should tell them that it was their attitude that forced you elsewhere when you call them to say you've gone with someone else.
