woodbury countryclub, westbury manor or lakefield manor

which would you pick for a summer wedding? which had better service, staff, atmosphere, got more for your money?

i went to visit 2 out of the three...and i liked larkfield the best..so thats my choice

thanks! i heard alot about lakefield manor but its kinda far for me but then i mapquest it & i couldnt believe its only 40 min i thought it would be an hour. i guess its worth the trip? how were their prices

I went to Westbury Manor and Larkfield. These were my final 2 choices and we picked Larkfield. Ours is a small wedding (70ish people) so Westbury would be upstairs. It is very stately but we preferred the open and airy feeling of Larkfield. To me it's light and bright and elegant.

Relatively new owners (since mar 2005) have done LOTS of renovating and redecorating and the place is really beautiful.

Besides that the owners and BM aim to please. They are all very nice people and very accomodating and as you might see if you check other posts they 'throw things in' for the price.

I heard one wedding (for 175 people) got a price of $85 for a Fri in Aug 2008. See the thread for 2008 Larkfield brides for my other post for more price info. I'm new at this and don't know how to get that info here!!!

I have never been to Lakefield before, but I have been to WBCC for a wedding a while back, its OK, not tooo crazy about it, You prob heard me say this 100 times but I love Westbury Manor, the service, the amount of food you get, the 'extra goodies', the rooms, the grounds, and especially the PEACOCKS, and its sooo different from these other places. Is your friend still indecisive??

my RH is WCC so that would be my pick. we love it!!!

we went to a wedding larkfield and did not like the room. It was so long and narrow. We couldnt really see the B & G.

for a summer wedding i would NOT go with larkfield manor

the other 2 are a toss up; both have really nice gardens
sorry but i grew up there and the thought of 7-11 being walking distance to the front door is just a turn off for me

I haven't looked at Lakefield Manor, but looked at both Wesbtury Manor and WCC... loved Westbury Manor and booked with them! WCC didn't really do much for me...
