Woodlands Brides - Flowers?

Woodlands Brides - Flowers?

I have an appointment with Flowers by Burton next Wednesday when I'm off from work and I was just wondering what everyone is thinking of doing for centerpieces. As of right now, I really want low simple centerpieces with all roses. So, does anyone have suggestions for rose colors? I am thinking maybe ivory or champagne. I don't want anything too complicated because I feel like the room itself has so much to offer. What do you ladies think??

P.S. Are any other Woodlands brides using Flowers by Burton??

I'm not - went with Pedestals. But like you I'm going to go with the low centerpieces. The Woodlands is so beautiful I feel you don't need anything too showy. If you go with roses, I would say depends time of year. Any roses would look lovely. So what colors do you want to have? :) I'm actually getting married in June so I'm going with peonies (My favorite flower!!) and some hydrangea and ivory roses. Lots of candles too.

Sounds beautiful and I totally agree it is sort of unnecessary to have showy centerpieces at a place like The Woodlands. I'mthink I'm going to go with all ivory or champagne roses or ivory/champagne with a very light muted pale pink.

I personally did high centerpieces because the florist had recomended that because you wont be able to see them there when they are low.

does it matter that the table cloths are cream? is that not enough of a color contrast for you?

i am a big color person so i know that other people might like more muted colors.
i am doing low centerpieces, maybe hydrangeas but i havent done any research yet.

we should start a Woodlands Bride thread!!

I plan on doing low centerpieces also with a lot of candles. I love color too........my girls will be wearing Navy and I'm doing Fuschia flowers, so most likely roses and peonies in a small vase, maybe rectangular since the tables are long.

i am either booking with Pedestals or Flower Michelle...we love both and cant decide!

we are doing all High Centerpieces.....i have seen pics of the ballroom with all low centerpieces and i feel like they get lost bc the room is so long.

However, Half high half low would also look good in that room bc it would create some textur (not to mention save some $$$ compared to all high)

edited: I just wanted to add that for colors i am sticking with my color scheme and doing all pinks and whites for flowers (with some greenery)

I haven't met with a florist yet but I think I am going to go with lavendar and cream colored flowers. I think that I may go with low center pieces. Maybe one larger piece and two smaller pieces because the tables are oval. I've been trying to check out Woodlands reception pics in 'the brides review' section

I am doing half high and half low. Mostly white and green - callas, orchids and branches. I wanted a little height to give ithe room a little something. I am using Verbeena - very happy with Jen.

I'm getting married at the Woodlands and using Burton's. I haven't decided on the flowers exactly...but definitley high and mostly white. The room is kind of dark so i want to brighten it up a bit.

i'm also getting married at the woodlands and using burtons. i got so many great recommendations for burtons. i still haven't decided what i want for my centerpieces, something low though b/c i feel like if they're too high you can't see the other people at your table.
