hello fellow Woodlands brides! Was curious if anyone used uplighting at the Woodlands? I have uplighting in my contract with my DJ, but I've been wondering if I really need it at all since there are so many wall sconces around the perimeter and chandeliers. My girls are wearing a wine (bordeaux) color dress and my other accent colors are blush and gold. I'm wondering if I really need the uplighting and if I did, what color should I get? I wonder if my DJ would let me change the contract to switch to something else to my package instead. Would love to know what you all did! Thanks!

It's kind of dark in there, I think up lighting would look good.

We were going to do uplighting inside but we decided to cut it and uplight the outside of the building. Amber is the color we were going to do. inside and out

I agree it is a bit dark in the room! Up lighting for sure!! I even had several candles throughout and still needed the up lighting...

See, I was just at a wedding there last month and I'd say no uplighting. The room is so classic and charming that I feel the uplighting wouldn't mesh well....but again, that's just me!

What color did you use? Initially when we booked I wanted amber uplighting. After going there for the tasting and seeing the room at night with the sconces, chandeliers, and votives on the tables I started to wonder if I really need any.

i was at a wedding a few years ago here and their uplighting was the best i've ever seen at a wedding. it was really soft and complimented the room (the demask paterns on the walls) - it was just perfect. sometimes i think the lights arent aimed right or they're too bright, but her's were perfect. they (and we!) used djs unlimited - they have really good equipment. we just used a light up dj booth for our wedding (de seversky) and it totally light up the entire room. perfect.
