So happy we took care of another thing on the list. For one thing, it's such a pain in the butt to get FH to go out and shop...so I finally got him to do it today and we were both happy with what we saw! We both got white gold bands...mine has a matte finish in the center and then it's smooth on the outside. Round setting, pretty narrow band which is so complementary to my engagement ring. FH got a beautiful white gold band as well...hard for me to describe. But his was more which really surprised me! I always thought mine would be more...but I decided I like the simplicity of a band without diamonds. I could add them eventually but I'm happy with the way it is!
I loved looking at my rings together- it was hard to take it off.
So we went to Route 46 Diamond Exchange in NJ (I wanna say that's in Fairfield). Very nice people- and so helpful! Our rings will be in in about 7-10 days. Can't wait to post pics!
Woohoo time to check it off the list!

They told me 7 days on my band, which was today. She promised us it wouldnt be any later than today, FH called and its not in!

Where in Jersey were ya? We're in Parsippany. We first tried this jewelry place near the David's Bridal across from Willowbrook, but they were doing some kind of renovating so they were closed. Good thing cuz the Jewelry Exchange was great!!!
Crazy thing is, when I was 12 I wrote my grandparents a letter (they lived in CA) and I told them someday I was gonna live in NJ. Too weird!

We went to Fortunoff last night and picked out bands too. Think we know what we're getting, although I'm checking prices. Fortunoff isn't cheap, althougth they're having a 15% off promotion next week.

I work near Paramus/Fair Lawn- in Ridgewood! Fair Lawn is so nice...so close to Garden State Plaza- gotta love that!

We also only wanted plain stuff--I chose a totally plain platinum band, but with a slightly squared edge, and my DF chose a platinum band that's polished on the edges with a matte center. He's so funny--I saw it in the showcase, said, 'I like that one, let's see it,' but he didn't like it until he put it on his hand, then it was his favorite. Guys. However, I think that was a brand name, maybe a Christian Bauer, so they wanted $1995 for it. Uh, no. eWeddingbands.com has the same thing for half the price. However, I haven't seen anything like the one I liked online, they're all either flat or round, not the in-between. Since the price on that one wasn't too bad at $625, plus the discount, we might get it there. We said we were going to think about it, and the saleslady sort of winked at us and told us that they're having a promotion next Friday, 15% off if you pay the whole thing (which we were planning on doing anyway) and then even more if you open a Fortunoff card. Which we might do, as it would make it close to the cheap online and Canal St prices. I think it's this ring, although the SKU is different:
