I think it's a half hour lunch or something like that...By the time lunch came around I was sitting in a courtroom waiting to be questioned, so I dont know what goes on downstairs in the main room...If you bring a lunch bag with food or snacks and stuff I dont think anyone could say anything to you...i carried around my lunch bag with me and had no issue

i think i got a 1 or 2 hr lunch break...idr but it was long. my bff came w/ me to jury duty cuz she was off and bored (we were like 19) and talked to random strangers and made the day go by quickly.
just bring alot of stuff to do

Jury duty is annoying. There's no way they'd ever let me on a jury since I work for my Mom and she's a lawyer...buuut that doesn't exclude me from getting called and wasting my time.

I got called in college, so I couldn't go, but they called me for federal in Islip, which I thought was really cool... Then I got called as a telephone stand-by juror (not federal) about 2 1/2 years ago, and they didn't call my number. I really want to go too!
FH is a cop though, I'm not sure they would like that

I heard that when one person has to pee everyone has to get up and leave the room, like court stops for a minute if you have to GO! That bugs me out. Just don't eat anything that will make your stomach explode that day lol

yep i'm a lawyer and they don't exclude me either - been called twice in the past 4 years (one state court, one federal court). bleh!
