wording help

I'm prining my RD invites as we speak and i'm questioning the wording...

I putting FH's mom as the host and FH's dad has passed so is it:

Mrs. (FHs mothers name)
invites you to join us for a
rehearsal dinner
honoring
etc etc etc

OR is it
invite you to join us for a
etc etc etc.

Should INVITE have a 'S'?

Re: wording help

i would go with number one as far as the Mrs or Ms it should be Ms but some women such as my aunt still go be Mrs William G**** even though my uncle passed away 17 years ago so out of respect we always right Mrs William *****. A husband passing is a sensitive issue and some still prefer Mrs so I would ask her

'12er crashing

If you're just putting the one person on then it should be 'invites.' If you're putting both parents, then it should be 'invite.' Because FH's father is deceased, sometimes people choose to put a '+' next to the name (which symbolizes that he is deceased). FMIL may still use her married name which most women still do even after their husbands pass away.

Re: wording help

Mrs. is the appropriate title for a widow.

It is INVITES because only one person's name appears as the host.
