Wording on invitations

Wording on invitations

Ok so FH and I are paying for our wedding. My father said he is giving us $ for the HM but we don't see that yet. FH parents haven't offered a dime. Now we need to start the wording on our invites. Any suggestions on ways to word it. Or is there a website about invitation wording or etiquette? I don't know where to start.

TIA!

I would suggest

You are cordially invited to the wedding of.....

That way no names are given

or

You and FH, together with their parents request the honor of your presence...

Re: Wording on invitations

it all depends on what's important to you... FH and I are paying for our entire wedding, but put my parents first... it's traditional and i liked it... and i know it meant a lot to them....
