A pet peeve (or pet hate) is a minor annoyance that can instill great frustration in an individual.
Well I am a Police Officer and my number one pet peeve work wise is........................................................When people 'misplace something' and they want to report it as stolen!!!!!!!!!!!No theft just lost property!!!!!!!!!!!

I work in an office and my pet peeve is when people use their speakerphone to have a conversation, it's so distracting, pick up your damn phone

GRRRR. I'm an exec assistant and mine is.... When people avoid using their own assistant because she *****, and divert work to me because they know it will get done promptly and CORRECTLY. a/k/a the DISADVANTAGE OF COMPETENCE

Kind of work related... I commute on the LIRR. Pet peeve is riders who clip their finger nails and toe nails on the train. That noise is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
This happens on almost a daily basis!

funny you say that.. my FH is a police officer too and that is def one of his pet peeves.. and many others too!!

I have 3 work pet peeves. One is the nail clippings. The guy sits literally 2 feet from me and he clips his finger nails and on occasion they fly on my desk
Two-same guy when he wears flip flops. His toes are so gross. I can't even directly look at them. It's like starring into the sun
Three-When people use my phone or sit at my desk.

I thought of another one. I hate the stupid chain e-mails I get all friggin day from my co-workers. I seriously don't think I'm going to fall into money because I was visited by the money fairy. I think I get about 25 of these a day because no one looks to see who it was already sent to. Don't these people work?

My job just banned forwarding those chain emails because they slow up the email for everyone at my job. I hate those too.

My office was being renovated so I had to share one with another girl that was a 'sniffler'. omg.. she drove me CRAZY.. she constantly sniffed. It was almost like it became a habit for her and she sniffed even when she didnt have real sniffles.

I manage a field staff of 4 men and I will add I feel like I am married to them lol
BUT i can NOT stand people who can not own up to doing something wrong, people that try to make up excuses for things they did not COMPLETE.
UGGGGH lol

i work in a staffing agency and I sometimes have to cover recpetion and my pet peeve is when we ask a candidate to fill out an application and they get pissed off about it! ummm hello you are applying for a job!!!

wow I could write many things...
I am a catering sales coordinator at an RH basically I am the assistant...
1. When my boss emails me exactly what she would like me to email someone else.
2. When my boss emails me 25 things when I am off sometimes with one words in them!
3. When my boss is nasty one minute then nice the next when she wants to talk about her boyfriend.
I could go on forever....

1. When people sneeze into their hands and then immediately hand me something or touch something I need to use. 2. People who tell you absoultely everything they are thinking eg 'I have to make a copy of this' I have to call so and so' 'I need a pen... I better go get a pen...I'm going to get a pen...I just got apen I better see if it works...'
