Well I am a Police Officer and my number one pet peeve work wise is........................................................When people 'misplace something' and they want to report it as stolen!!!!!!!!!!!No theft just lost property!!!!!!!!!!!

I work in an office and my pet peeve is when people use their speakerphone to have a conversation, it's so distracting, pick up your damn phone
Ohhh this is the worst its soo rude! It's like they love listening to their voice.

Ohhh my boss comes over to me and says do you have a minute? - always when its my lunch and I hate people coming up to me while I'm eating b/c it's my time! Oh and he even calls me with every stupid question he has and his desk is about 5 ft away!!

I work in a school and I go from room to room. I'm always rushing around and I hate when people try to stop me to chat or ask stupid questions.

Oh its so hard to choose one! -When people think and act as if cubicle walls are completely sound proof. I don't need to know how a colonscopy feels at 8:30 AM.
Also, you can eat something stinky for lunch, but for the love of god, dont throw half your tuna sandwich in the trash can next to my cubicle so I have to smell it all day. There are kitchens for that...

I'm a teacher - When parents 'drop by' during the school day and think you have time to talk to them about whatever their little angel forgot or whatever. Um.....I'm TEACHING, duh. AND When other teachers don't do their share of group planning.

My FH is an officer as well and he can SO relate to this. He used to have Drunk people come into the precinct and report their lost SHOE (i kidd you not!!) as stolen. They wanted to have a report written about it. The guy lost his shoe in a bar !!

Kind of work related... I commute on the LIRR. Pet peeve is riders who clip their finger nails and toe nails on the train. That noise is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

I work in a lab so my peeves are actually things that can make people really sick....
1. People not wearing gloves when they are working with blood, poo and/or pee
2. People have open food in their drawers (like cookies) dont use gloves and then reach in and get something and eat it (ummmm ew maybe wash your hands first...)
3. When serum tubes are left open too long (it smells like a wet metallic dog, yuck)
4. Whwn instrument tubing clogs and you have to pull out nasty clots

Here is my fav:
The voice mail where the person leaving the message either does one of the following: 1. Calls 5 times, gives you a name, and doesn't give you their number and gets annoyed that you don't call them back-HELLO-I don't have your number laying around...and half the time, I have no clue who you are since I have 125 other cases!!! 2. Leaves the longest message ever, gets cut off and then calls back to continue the message, of course giving their phone number at the end of the third message.
I hate voicemail-can you tell...it is the most evil invention ever.
I also hate people who call me and start, this is my third phone call, fourth...in one day!!! I am in court all day and I am sorry that I don't wait around for your phone call!

hmmm, i work in an a office and of course i sit in a cube, but i cant stand it when people creep up behind you, its creepy and weird, just say something, its like they are stalking me. one woman put up a mirror so she can see who walking by, but i think id get too distracted if i did that.

work peeve is when a co-worker comes and takes papers off my desk and asks if they can read it. it really bugs me. like mind your own business..or at least ask first before you touch!

yes i know its a public space but i am on my BREAK and anyone under 50 knows that you shouldnt comment on what people are looking at/reading

actually my job does this. i sit in a cubicle block with 2 other girls (used to be 3 one got fired last week) but i put my phone on speaker b/c im so busy most the time (got the other girls approval before i started doing this, the others work for me prety much) and they laugh and joke about my convos all the time!
but anyway. my pet peevs. if you have super long fake nails.. do not type with ur nails. type with your FINGER. it is loud and annoying and makes me want to puke.

When I go to lunch outside work and come back drinking a milkshake from McDonalds, 20 people run up to me and complain that I didnt tell them I was going. Stupid I only have 30 minutes...Im not sitting in the drive-thru for 20 of them ordering 8 value meals, 6 items off the dollar menu and a large fry because YOURE too lazy to go yourself.

I hate that too!!
I work in a hair salon with 15 other women, so my pet peeves are everyone gossiping about each other, not cleaning up after yourselves, and when they complain that I only work 8 hours a week.....Hi, I'm student teaching 5 days a week going to school at night 4 days a week, when the hell would you like me to work!?

I'm a dance teacher and I hate when kids are LATE or ABSENT for class....the problem is they are kids and its not their fault they are late or don't get a ride........its the parents!!! And then when their kid looks like C R A P on stage who do they try to blame???? That's when I bring out the attendance book
