My job doesn't do that. There are 80 people in my dept alone.. It would be too much. Maybe smaller, more family oriented organizations do that.

So far, since I've been at my job (a little over a year) two girls have gotten married, and both have gotten showers. So they'll probably give me one. But I feel really bad, because I'm not invited any co-workers to the wedding

I'm a teacher and we always do bridal & baby showers for teachers. Whatever grade the teacher teaches in usually organizes the shower & each grade level usually pools money and buys gifts. My grade level is very close so I'm sure they will do something nice for me

I work in a school with over 130 staff members.... its just not what we do. We only do baby shower's for your first child.

despite the size of my firm, my dept is only about 15 ppl so i think they'll do something. although like laura i feel bad bc most of them arent invited to the wedding - i just couldnt make it work.

They always do showers here. I actually was talking to a few of my coworkers about it yesterday. I told them I didnt care about the gift- I just want the food. The food they usually get and make is amazing!

No way am I getting a work shower...although the suite I work in is small, there are 2 of the older ladies (office manager and receptionist) who are big fat asssholes and would ruin the fun for everyone.

I am not having one but I work in a really small office, and my sister actually invited 2 of the girls ( out of 5)they could not come but one of the women actually bought me my bedding and gave it to me after my shower!

im assuming they would do one cuz they do a little work baby shower for people and i was around one one bridal shower but my department threw tht when there was a woman boss so i know a guy wouldnt initiate it. usually this other lady though initiates things.
