Okay, so I am trying to balance school with work with planningthis wedding with FH- and I am going crazy!!
I want to finish school because I am 26 and don't even have my bachelor's degree yet- I took several years off to pursue a career in a different field.
I want to work to make $$ for our house and the wedding- AND so I am not totally dependent on FH.
But all of this is making me crazy, and FH has NOT been sympathetic- this weekend he made me cry 2x: once said that my little cousins are all graduating before me and once asked why don't I work more to make some $$...HELLO!!! Obviously I know my cousins are graduating- and I don't feel great about it, AND I WOULD LOVE TO WORK MORE BUT I HAVE FINALS
So I am thinking of cutting down my hours at work to maintain some sanity - and a decent GPA- but then I will be making MUCH less $$
WHAT SHOULD I DO??

Re: Work vs. School vs. FH- HELP!!
it is a difficult situation & I am so sorry that FH made you cry...You need to do what is best for you...Only you know how much is 'too much' for you...
Going to school & working is a VERY difficult task...I worked full time all through college & know how difficult it can be...You have to remember that school is first though bc you want to be able to make more $$ with your degree...So if you are stressing, cut back some hours until the summer when you don't have as many credits & then load up on working...
Only you can determine which is best for your situation but to me, I think you are REALLY stressed & need some concentration time rather then juggling a million things
Head up girlie

I know finishing school is so important & all...Once you get going, you don't want to stop! Hang in there, there will be plenty of time to work later on in life! Concentrate on school & your grades!

Don't worry about your cousins graduating before you, life isn't a competition esp with family! If you want to make more $$ then put school on hold for awhile, you can get your degree any time. I know the pressure of wanting to get it done and out of the way. Why not look into going to school online? I got my masters from AIU online program while working full time, I don't think I could've done it going to a traditional school.

So sorry to hear u are struggling with this. However, do what is right for you. I know FH's can be jerks sometimes b/c they say the wrong thing. Remember men are not emotional they like to solve problems. And I am sure it is stressful for him to take care of u and provide more financially. However, explain to him that this is your goal and will help both of you in the future. Whatever u do do not do not do not give up your goals or dreams for a MAN!!!. I have seen so many women fall into this trap and the end result is not very pretty. If things become to overwhelming and u still want to work to make more money and pay bills then ask a family member to help with the planning and delegate responsibilities.

Your FH needs to be more supportive, that wasn't nice to make you cry! Does your job have any kind of tuition reimbursement? Also is your current job in the field you are working for your bachelor's in? I am also thinking, are you going to school part time or full time? IF you are going full time, you might want to cut it back to part time so you can still make money and feel independent. I know that it will take you longer to get the degree, but it might be worth it. That's what I am doing.
