, When I wasn't working and I was a stay at home puppy mom: I was shopping at century 21 and overheard 2 women in the shoe dept, talk about how they need to take pills just to be able to deal w/ their kids, it makes me sad & angry to see that there are so many parents out there like this
I know and the sad thing is if they really needed to be on those pills they wouldn't be discussing it with their friend in the middle of a dept store. It's so sad, some people should not be allowed to have kids if all they're going to do is complain about them. There are so many couples out there that can't have kids that would take care of their children without the use of drugs.
I know we have friends that are married for 3yrs and have tried & found out they can't so they're adopting a lil boy from China, I hope he comes home soon.

Re: Working
I happen to work in a great school - it is not the school that is a problem - it is the lack of parental involvement that is the biggest obstacle!!
its tough - how much can we get through to them when it is not reinforced at home - its tough

Thanks a lot - that is why I am here - It means a lot to me!!
I get the best affection, cards, and kindness from them - they give what they receive and they need to know that people care about them

THANKS JESS!!!!!!! To be honest, it is rough and i do deal with a lot emotionally and i dont forget about their problems when i go home - Its terrible - there are some really wonderful kids and parents and then some others that are SOOOOOO neglected that it is just too depressing to go into detail - i want to take them home with me!!!
ETA - It is not where you live, it is HOW you are RAISED -
aww well I dont' think it is possible to forget these problems. If they're their problems that makes them your problems because you have to see them everyday! My mother worked in a really good school with really nice families up until she retired and she would come home depressed because of some of the things here students were going through so I do believe it can be anywhere. It absolutely is how you're raised.
