Working Midnights...........

Does anyone's husband or fiance work midnights? Mine does which is why I post more often at night. Too busy at work most days.

This way, we can know who is on LATE NIGHT!!

What time does he get home?
My DH works 11:15 TO 7:50. He is a police officer.
So he leaves at 10 p.m.

Didn't bother me too much when we were fiances but now that we are husband and wife, it bothers me more for some reason.

he gets home at 1:30 pm. But he always takes a nap in the afternoon. and when I get home from work he is napping while i cook dinner. he gets up for a few hours then goes to bed sometimes as early as 9pm-10:30 the latest. we cant do anything during the week. The hours are getting to him and he is trying to change them.

My MIL has a bf who is a nypd and works nights too. it is very rough on him, and he does not sleep right and is always tired.

He has 5 years on the job and he could put in for a tour change now but I think he LIKE midnights. It will be good if we, god willing, have a baby someday!!!

It will be wonderful if you guys have a child and he goes on the day tour

My DH works early AM so he is in bed early. Right now I am not working (out on disability since late December), but once I go back to work..soon I hope..I will be back on an early schedule.

He is a NIGHT OWL. Doesn't sleep well at night. I think he is just used to it. Plus, he says he likes the action on the midnights and mssing the traffic!!

I figured, when and if we have a child, since I will have to get back to work the second after I deliever, it will be good for him to be home during the day and I'll be home at night. His mom will watch the baby until I get home from work so DH can sleep.

Csn you see I have given this a lot of thought.

He would change his tour if I asked him to, but I have no good reason right now other than a lagging social life.

My Fh is in the Construction business so he is always passed out by 8:30-9:00

mine works 3pm - 11:30pm

he doesnt get home till midnight. Though I had a lot of tea today so I'll be up for quite a while

My husband works nights often. Most people pity me, but sometimes I enjoy 'me' time.

i agree with jen-the me time is nice.

we dont smother each other and have time to do thing with our own friends along with each other. we just need to manage our time better

I am all for 'me time' too. Just getting readjusted to it. We just got back from our honeymoon where we were together every second. As you gals know, I am not used to that.

FI used to drive a tow truck for the marshall and he would be out a lot at night and I hated being home alone at night. I could never sleep until he was home.

Now he works till 11:30 in the airport and it really doenst bother me. I enjoy the quiet time when he isnt home. I can go on the computer, relax, watch whatever I want, and catch up on things I keep putting off.
