It has worked for me. DH and I were on opposing schedules the whole time we were dating (5 years) so we really didn't see each other too much. Plus for the last 2 1/2 years of that time we lived 40 miles apart. Once we got married we just looked at each other like 'Okay when do we get alone time?' It was pretty weird. We have worked it out now although I still sometimes wish I had my apartment to go back to when we get on each other's nerves!

We are resolving that issue by finishing our attic which will now be DH's space for himself and his toys(he is a ham radio freak). When you do not have a lot of time to spend together you appreciate the time you do have more.
