We're using FMIL's timeshare and there's a ton of resorts but I keep getting reviews on them and they're all pretty bad. Or at least 50-50. Don't really wanna take that chance.
We can exchange the timeshare for a cruise, which would be awesome as we've never been on a cruise.
FH doesn't care he just wants to relax and laze around. Would a cruise be a good way to go? If I had my way we'd do the Venice cruise and go sightseeing but...

we love love love cruising. cruises are awsome. i love the service beacause u feel special when ur stewards know ur name and cater to all your needs. some cruise lines i hate but some i love. we're doing royal caribbean for our honeymoon. my favorite cruiseline of all time is holland america but theres not many activities and its a very old crowd.
I would do the cruise!! what cruise are u thinking about?

What cruise lines can you exchange the timeshare for? I personally love cruises - especially b/c it sounds like your FH wants to relax by a pool/beach and you want to be more active. A cruise is definitely the best of both worlds - you can go on excursions or you can spend the day by the pool. But you need to look into the cruiseline (some are definitely better than others) and the ports.

we traded in my mothers timeshare for Riviera Maya
it's an all inclusive.. couples only resort.. & was on the 2008 forbes most romantic honeymoon resorts list
which timeshare are you using??

I love, love, love cruises!!!! The only thing about taking a cruise for your HM is that you will always be around other people when you are on the boat, unless you are in your room.

i heard the mediteranian (haha thats prob spelt so wrong) cruise was awesome! maybe you can do something like that, and then spend a couple nights in an area where theres nice beaches?

I've been on a bunch of cruises but I have to admit. I don't find them relaxing. I love them but unless it is a day at sea personally I am always rush rush off the ship to see the island then rush rush back to the ship to make it on time.
This is why FH and I decided to do an all inclusive so we can just relax if we want without feeling like we are missing anything.
Also I don't know how much you and FH drink but drinks are not included on the ship.
(Figured I'd throw that in there since your 7-11 domo guy night)

They have tons of lines...Royal Caribeean, Celebrity, Disney, Carnival, etc.

We're doing a Celebrity cruise to the Mediterranean. FH and I aren't really the 'sit-on-a-beach' type of people - we enjoy sightseeing instead. But there are a couple days at sea where we can just lay out and relax.

Cruises are GREAT!! I love them. Very relaxing and very fun. You could do awesome excursions during the day, or you could lounge around on the ship and relax. Soo much fun, and sooo much food!! I say go for the cruise if you're not crazy about the time share.
You can't go wrong with a cruise. Caribbean ones are nice. I love the Western one. Honduras, Belize, Mexico, Grand Cayman-- so fun!
