I did distance with my boyfriend, but not quite as far as that. I went to school in maryland. We met in January, started dating in June and I left in August. I thought it was a summer thing and would amount to nothing, but we made it through the distance :) and survived 4 years of distance! I just came back last may!

hmm..what did i do to survive the distance? lots and lots of calls. constant pictures to eachother, constant text messages.
He was able to visit her once a month..but thats still a long time, esp. in the beginning of a relationship...

i get the distance so if you wanna FM me to just rant ( cause we need that sometimes ) feel free too

I feel for ya girl! I'm sorry its so crummy right now! I wish I had something to say that would make you feel better, but I still haven't figured it out myself. this week is the 3 months apart mark, before this the longest we've ever spent apart was 2 weeks when I was in Japan in January, and that was torture. I have 58 days until I see him again making it 5 months overall....

Then he tells me last week b/c of this new job, that he may not be home when I'm coming back to the states b/c he'll have to go to Texas, and if I can come back another time... um what? if it was that easy I would have been home already! I'm def not feeling comfortable with this whole distance thing, but try toconsider it a way to make you guys stronger that you have to find different things to make it work.

Before I left I hid lotto cards and a few gifts around the house. Every few weeks he'll either stumble onto something or I'll send him a postcard telling him a place to look, or I'll tell him on the phone. Its my way of having him know I think of him even when i'm not there, and that makes me feel better! Maybe next time you're home you can try something like that. Skype helps too, its nice to see the person you're talkign to besides just the phone calls.

Ive been apart from FH for a couple of days but never that long, but it does make it THAT much better when you see them again Your love is strong and you will make it through together, and thank god for Skype!!

Skype is great tho... at least you can see him! even if its just through the computer!
