Oh my goodness....I just got engaged less than 2 weeks ago and I haven't even started. I just logged on again today and it seems as if people who just got engaged have their reception halls booked and photographers just everything....I feel like I'm slacking off and places will be booked. Am I just over reacting or do I have enough time????.....Ugh...Am I the only 2006 Bride that hasn't booked a place yet??? I just feel a little overwhelmed and had to vent...

You don't have to go into paniac mode bc you haven't booked your hall yet...We just booked early to give us time to pay things off and to get a better rate...you still have time to look at places and book...

I just booked last weekend, and everywhere we went our dates were open. Don't panic and think you have to book the first place you see just because your date is available. Don't stress...just enjoy being engaged! :)

Take your time! I booked right away because I wanted a particular holiday weekend day. Since then I've only looked at photo and video.

Welcome! I'm pretty new here too! I waited about a month and a half before even calling halls. At first I was all psyched and ready to plan everything ASAP, but then I relaxed for a couple of weeks and really enjoyed being engaged.
Booking the hall is the first thing to do...everything else falls into place after that...
