worst enemy

My best guy friend is dating my worst enemy, period.
I feel this is enough said lol. but to give you the background 411.. He has been my BF since middle school, she lost her virginity to my high school BF while i was dating him. YES it was high school, and YES i am so over him and it and her an everything BUT i can never really get past it. It was so embarrassing and heartbreaking.. It was the first time i was truly decieved, and cheated on. He eventually cheated on me with half of america, but she was a total b*tch about it and knew we were dating, left something in his car for me to find, and so on .. I will never forget how it made me feel, the anger never goes away. I avoid her at all costs- i dont go to bars, parties anywhere that i know she is. Well my BGF has been dating her for almost 2 years.. it has completely ruined our friendship.

Soooo... all of our friends are telling me i have to invite her to my wedding. LIKE WHAT!!!!!!!!! I wont be in the same room with her at a crowded bar, im going to invite her to my wedding!!!! I feel so uncomfortable when she is around, i hate her!!
I cant invite him without a guest because that is completely white trash- but if he brings her i will never forgive him. But what is he does?!?!
My friends are saying that because of how serious they are, i not only should invite her, but i should put her name on the invite!!!!!!
W*T*F do i do?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: worst enemy

oh boy - that's tough. i dont think i would be able to invite her given the situation. but you might have to consider that your BGF might not go to your wedding if she can't come. have you ever talked to him about the situation?

I am inviting one of my friends husband's who was a complete jackhole to me, I decided I needed to put what he said to be and the verbal altercation between him and fh aside.

she never apologized- she came up to me once claiming some BS that she didnt know we were dating.

WELL she was my friend at one point, we were together for 3 yrs, and my HS only has 500 students.. Everyone knew everyones business and then some.

I went through this already with my engagement party. But i had the excuse that it was only my tight circle of friends, and i didnt invite anyone not in a relationship with a guest.. I was able to escape it and he came. He said 'he understood' but i dont know if he understood i was only inviting a few people, or understood his GF is a raging wh0re LOL

I'm a huge fan of 'If you hate the bride, then your not coming to the wedding.' obviously this Biatch shouldn't be coming to your wedding.

I have a 'friend' that did almost the exact thing to me in HS- and we all went to church together!! They actually got married and just had their first child this week together...and he only reason I know that is through mutual friends. He was my best friend, and first love- but I can't imagine seeing their family at my wedding.

Remember, it is YOUR DAY and if he's a true friend, he wouldn't even THINK about bringing someone that he knows you don't want to be around.

You do not have to do anything that you do not want to do!!!!!

If you are not comfortable with it than DO NOT do it!

Agreed. It may upset the relationshio with your GBF, but he KNOWS how you feel about her and he really shouldn't be surprised if you don't invite her. And quite frankly, why would she WANT to be invited? Clearly the ONLY reason for her to come is continue to be nasty to you....I would skip it. It's your wedding day, you don't need the drama!

yikes, if it makes you uncomfortable don't do it, your friend should understand that you have some bad history with her.

Well the right thing to do is be the bigger person, as my FH always tells me to be, lol.. BUT, if I were in the same situation there is no way in hell that chick would be anywhere near my wedding, let alone at it. I get over things but never forget, and I wouldn't want that kind of negative energy ruining my day. So I'm very supportive of you making sure she is not in attendance at your wedding. He should understand your decision and if he doesn't, oh well.

I agree, I could be 'over' certain things meaning I don't spend my days agonizing over it, but it doesn't mean I will be waiting with open arms.

This is your wedding day, you shouldn't have flashbacks of a painful time everytime you look around the room and see the skank's face.

I don't see how anyone would blame you for err, NOT INVITING SOMEONE WHO YOU DO NOT LIKE???

Sorry.. but you gotta invite her AND put her name on the invite. If you just put 'and guest' he's just going to bring her anyway. You can't tell him not to bring her.. it's his gf and they are serious.

I can see both sides so let me ask you this...

You know you will look hot and have the most amazing time...is seeing her face really going to ruin your day? OR can you **** it up and be the bigger person since you know your party will rock and she'll be more uncomfortable?
If you think just the mere thought of knowing she is there makes you ill then F*** her and NO invite! But if you think you can make it through the day not even giving her a thought, let alone scratch her eyeballs out, then do the right thing and invite her....but I would put '& guest' on the invite just to stick it to them a lil bit

Re: worst enemy

wow, this is a tough one. the catty girl in me wants to scream 'F*** That! don't invite that b itch!' lol, i don't think it's that simple.

i think it depends on your relationship with your guy friend. you said in your first post that by dating her, it has completely ruined your friendship. does that mean that you're not close with him anymore?

i keep thinking that if a couple is serious, you can't invite one without the other. i think about if my FH got an invitation but I wasn't invited...first of all I would think that was totally tacky and immature...and second of all, you better believe FH isn't going without me! that would start a huge fight between us if he even thought about it. it seems like their relationship is different since he came to your engagement party without her.

personally, i would have to take 2 things into consideration- how close am i with guy friend? and would it really ruin my day if she was there? because i wouldn't invite him without her (for reasons stated above), so it's both or none for me. if you're not close with him and your friendship really is ruined, or you think having her there would ruin your day, then don't invite either. if you think you can grin and bare it, and you don't want to ruin your friendship with your GF, invite them both.

sorry you have to make this decision...b itches s uck!

This is YOUR wedding! If her presence is going to make you miserable, then she shouldn't be invited. Since she's such a floozy maybe they might not be together by next Sept. anyway. You have more than a year, they might be broken up by then.

Can I emphasize this again? YOUR WEDDING!

ITA with this one.

I would suggest telling the bridal attendant the sitch. and he/she can keep you two apart

Good Luck!

Re: worst enemy

well the good thing is your wedding is not until 09/2011.. So dont stress over it yet.,

1. They might not even been together
2. THings can change and you may be stuck with her in other situations and things might get better...
