Here are my thoughts....
Carmela was looking at beach house plans. They were planning to by a house and move to get away from the trial, etc.
I think the guy in the diner and the two guys that walked in signify how Tony is always going to be looking behind him 24/7.
And the Journey song 'Don't stop believing' was a great touch.
I LOVE when shows end like that!!! A good ending leaves you talking about it for a long long time!
hey to each her own. There was definitely a ridiculous amount of symbolism in that last scene, and even before that (like with the cat) but I prefer not to read into things, I like it spelled out for me, but i'm also a lazy biotch.

I hear ya. I can understand why people would be disappointed. But I wasn't surprised because this whole season was so different from the others. It wasn't just about whacking people...it was all about Tony's demise - ya know? So I thought the ending fit with the season. But yeah...I can see why people were disappointed.
My dad is convinced that the two guys who came in were hit men, and the other guy went into the bathroom to signal to them that it was time to take the whole family out (when Meadow came in).
I am not even going to comment on this episode....I am all about symbolism and hidden meanings but COME ON!!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! Millions upon millions of people are beyong pissed....including me and FH! I am actually PISSED OFF!

you are right about the season being more about symbolism but i am definitely disappointed. I was disappointed when OZ ended too...
now i cant remember how Oz ended - but i am pretty sure that when they filmed the last episode they thought it was supposed to be a season finale and not a series finale so that could explain THAT ending.
thats what this episode SHOULD have been a season finale and not a series finale - and even for a season finale it wasnt fabulous.
