So, anyone else go to the wedding salon event at the Roosevelt Hotel tonight?
It was really one of the most unorganized events I have ever been to. We waited in line to register for like 30 minutes so they can give us our little hand bands to get in and to get our gift bags. So my friend and I walked around - it was sooo crowded, you couldn't really see anything, people were not helpful at all. Then after about an hour, we go wait online to get our gift bags. We realize some ppl have little cards for gift bags but the lady we registered with said we didn't need anything except the little hand bands (can't remember the proper word for it). So after waiting in line for like 20 min, we get there and she tells us we need a card, the ribbon isn't enough. I'm like well clearly we registered and were told to come here with the ribbon. So, we just ended up leaving and then heard a bunch of girls complaining about the same thing.
What a waste of time this was!!!! Sorry, my little vent is over, I know there are more important things to worry about, I am just really annoyed!!!!

oh wow. i was actually supposed to go with a friend but i left work early sick so we didnt go. im kinda glad i missed it! that stinks

Aww, sorry you feel sick, feel better. The only nice thing about it was they had really nice dresses throughout.
Reading my vent makes me realize how stupid and petty I sound. :( It just really annoyed me.

ugh that su cks!! i was gonna go but ended up leaving work kinda late and i have so much to do for tomorrow.... thats so annoying, the goody bag is usually the whole point of going ha

omg that stinks!! im sooo sorry!!! last yr every1 was snotty but the gift bag is what made me happy.
i noticed this yr they sent me a physical letterpress invite in the mail along with about 5 or 6 emails... which also followed to another 5 email-reminders. i think they went crazyy with invites and couldnt handle all those ppl
thank got regy texted me n told me no more bags, cuz i was ready to leave work and go.
poor fh was waiting around in the city from 3 til about 6:30 for me. :-\

yeah, I got there, and was told there were 500 gift bags, and you had to get a card to get them. It seemed they were trying to send them to the girls who had paid rather than using a code to get in.
I liked the cupcakes and cake samples, the Hypnotique, and actually wound up buying my (hopefully) day of under garments. they were letting you try on new ones to see if you liked them (all over body thing) and I swear, I had to take my belt in 3 notches.

I only went for the goodie bag! I was so mad when they ran out. But I did leave with 2 bump its! And the worst hair do ever!! I had to take it out before I left because it was disgusting.

I got a gift bag, it wasn't anything special. It just had magazines, hypnotiq soap (yes as in the drink), a mini measuring tap and the bumpits.

lol, I didn't like my hair do either. I think I saw you, I was looking for familiar faces but it was just too crowded.

i just got back from the show and it really is the worst showcase i've been to! Very crowded, poor ventilation (had 2 take off my jacket & was just wearing a tshirt and i felt hot) and not too many samples! They ran out of the goodie bags & I ended up w/ 3 bumpits that i couldnt figure out how to use.
The only good thing that happened was i found out that Crumbs (they're my fave) does weddings now & their tasty samples! Also liked the free capuccino samples. Oh, and I definitely fell in love with this Stephen Yearick gown that Bridal Reflections have on display! My mom is seriously thinking of buying it for me even though i have a gown already!

OMG..I was there too and was just about to create the same thread title!!! I didn't get a gift bag and I was there at 5:30 pm! Wedding salon sux ! I can't believe they ran out of gift bags I was so angry !

I got a bad bump it too. And some really horrible peachy blush that made me look like an oopma loompa. Oh well - at least there were good cupcakes!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was so pissed. Got there before 7 afte sitting in traffic for over an hour, paying over $20 in tolls, almost getting into 2 accidents, just to get there and there were no more bags. I was so disappointed in the showcase itself also... I found some vendors very standoffish and snotty when asked for a pamphlet. Thank god I found a spot half a block away and I didn't go in a garage or I would have thrown a fit. I did bump into one of the planners from Whose Wedding is it Anyway... That was my thrill of the night... Oh yeah I got a Bump It too.... I don't know whose head these things are made for, it's frigging huge!

I was trying to duck and hide! I went with Lisa (lisalana) so when she sends me pictures of my horrendous hair style I can post for all to get a good laugh.
