Worst event I've ever been to

So, anyone else go to the wedding salon event at the Roosevelt Hotel tonight?

It was really one of the most unorganized events I have ever been to. We waited in line to register for like 30 minutes so they can give us our little hand bands to get in and to get our gift bags. So my friend and I walked around - it was sooo crowded, you couldn't really see anything, people were not helpful at all. Then after about an hour, we go wait online to get our gift bags. We realize some ppl have little cards for gift bags but the lady we registered with said we didn't need anything except the little hand bands (can't remember the proper word for it). So after waiting in line for like 20 min, we get there and she tells us we need a card, the ribbon isn't enough. I'm like well clearly we registered and were told to come here with the ribbon. So, we just ended up leaving and then heard a bunch of girls complaining about the same thing.

What a waste of time this was!!!! Sorry, my little vent is over, I know there are more important things to worry about, I am just really annoyed!!!!

i just got back from the show and it really is the worst showcase i've been to! Very crowded, poor ventilation (had 2 take off my jacket & was just wearing a tshirt and i felt hot) and not too many samples! They ran out of the goodie bags & I ended up w/ 3 bumpits that i couldnt figure out how to use.

The only good thing that happened was i found out that Crumbs (they're my fave) does weddings now & their tasty samples! Also liked the free capuccino samples. Oh, and I definitely fell in love with this Stephen Yearick gown that Bridal Reflections have on display! My mom is seriously thinking of buying it for me even though i have a gown already!

Glad I wasn't the only one to feel like this and I am usually not so picky, but it was soooo annoying. Time for bed. Good night ladies.

omgosh i feel so horrible for raving about this showcase and every1 said it suuuuuuucked!!

i swear to goooooood it was amazing last yr.. well the gift bag was. the vendors were snotty.. but i already told u girls that lolol

im sorrry it wasnt good this yr!

I went too and was disappointed. They told us giftbag tickets were given to the first 800 people only and they were gone before 5. But the guy did tell us what was in them and it wasn't anything much as someone mentioned already. I also got bump its and was kinda excited but they either **** or I am clueless not sure which one yet. Also the invite said h'oudervous (sp?) and cocktails and fashion show and whatever else it said and besides the one hypnotic drink, crumbs mini cupcakes and some cookies/cake vendors i saw no food or cocktailS. I was so hot and didn't take much vendor stuff as there was nothing to put it in without a bag. Oh well. I am still addicted to bridal shows.

OMG it was HORRENDOUS.

We also waited in line for 30 min to 'register' and the band was playing SO LOUD that I couldn't even talk to my MOH while we were waiting!

Then we found out that they ran out of gift bags and all these people were fighting with the gift bag lady and were like '***?'

We seriously took a lap and left.

I would not have paid $50 for that anyway!

I thought I was the only one that didn't get a Goody bag and that thought it was poorly organized. Thanks Girls I don't feel so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went also. It was just overcrowded and they ran out of goodie bags. All of the vendors were not that bad..it was just too crowded to enjoy anything! Really good cupcake samples though!

ETA: I would have had a better time if I would've seen any LIWers there! Next time...

I don't think they 'ran out' of the goodie/gift bags. I think I was fed that line by one of the staff people just to get rid of me. I was pisssing and moaning and there was a few girls standing on the line in front of me who also got in based on the Free Promo Code who were told that because we didn't have a little 'Gift Bag Card' and only the wrist ribbons, that it wasn't enough.

I have a feeling that the people who paid $50 to get in actually got the Gift Bag Cards, and those like myself who attended for free using the online Promo Code, were just given ribbons and shafted on the gift bags.

What a total waste of my time. I'm not bothering attending any of that company's events anymore!

I feel the same way. I actually almost hit a couple of people bc people were shoving and being rude and it was soo hot it was disgusting.

lol, I didn't like my hair do either. I think I saw you, I was looking for familiar faces but it was just too crowded.

I was trying to duck and hide! I went with Lisa (lisalana) so when she sends me pictures of my horrendous hair style I can post for all to get a good laugh.

I undid my bad hair do before I left, there was no way I was going anywhere with that hairdo.

Sorry to hear that. I was suppose to go but couldn't make it and I was pissed becuase I had heard such great things from people about the gift bags. I guess I shouldn't be to dissapointed now.
