worst pics ever-UPDATED

Hi girls,
Well, my wedding is over and everything went perfectly..no bumps at all - but my pics were a nightmare. not only were the formals not that good, but my photographer was mia for most of my reception. I have like 30 proofs from the reception, and of the 200 people (friends and extended family) the only people i have pics of are my immediate family and his immediate family which consists of 20 people. I am soo miserable I can't tell you. I just wanted to tell you guys to be sooo careful when picking your photographer...the day goes by so fast that i wish i had pictures to capture it. It's just so upsetting......

Heygirls, I met with the manager today and he didn't argue that my pictures weren't what we were promised. We have to speak with the owner next week about monetary compensation. The manager said they may be able to take stills from the video...i hope they get good shots from that...that would be somewhat satisfying. Thanks for all of your support girls, the manager was very sympathetic, so hopefully things go well with the owner next week and we can get at least some shots of our reception, and money back.
I'll be updating again...hope you all are doing well!

Hey girls,
So I haven't met with the owner yet. They told me that they are out of town until next week, but I can have an appointment then. I am praying !!! things go well. I got a few nice pictures from some of my friends...so that's nice....just hope the meeting goes well. I just want to be done with this already.....Thanks for listening...hope you are all well ( :

Maybe some family took pictures and you can blow them up and use them however needed?

Im sorry to hear this unfortunate news!

Oh no! That's so not good Make sure you tell the company about your bad experience and have them make a HUGE adjustment to the price... that's not right

Re: worst pics ever

i've called pretty much everyone..and would you believe that my dad's camera broke 10 minutes into the reception, and it was kind of dark, so the table camera's didn't come out that well. My mother in law had hers, but it was mostly of her grandson and family...
Thanks for your warm thoughts. Haven't really stopped crying...i didn't realize how important the pictures would be to me......

I'm so sorry!!

Did you see if your friends and family got some good pics. I'm sure they wouldn't be as good as a profesional, but at least it would be something.

You should get compensation for that! What are they doing for you?

Re: worst pics ever

We meet with them tomorrow. I don't know what they will do. I already paid everything upfront. There was one point when my husband tried to get a picture and had to have the maiterde go find the photographer. I thought he wasn't around much, but i was so busy, i didn't have time to think, i just thought he was so good that i didn't notice him.....

I'm so sorry. You should definitely file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That's just not right!

Re: worst pics ever

go reread your contract and see how many proofs they guaranteed you....if its less than what you got, then demand your money back

if they refuse, take them to small claims court

you might not get your pictures but you can at least get your money back and put it towards a good photographer when you have a vow renewal or your next family party

I agree. Im so sorry that happend to you! I cant believe that! You shouldnt let them get away with it! They should definately compensate in a BIG way!

Re: worst pics ever

Just a thought- did you have wedding insurance? Sometimes it covers these kinds of things (to recreate some things for pics). The Photographer should definitely refund most if not ALL of the money you paid (and then some!)!

They need to understand that pictures are priceless!! And what they've done is HORRIBLE!!

See what they do first, then report them to the BBB!

Re: worst pics ever

Thanks girls, I'll see what they do tomorrow. I didn't have wedding insurance..didn't even know that existed..wish i did. I'll see what they say and if they aren't cooperative, you will see me bashing them all over LIW. I hate that it has to get ugly at the end. things were going so well....

If i haven't said it enough, you girls are really amazing.....

Re: worst pics ever

That is so awful.

By any chance was the videographer using digital equipment? If so, you can get prints from the video. A videographer that I met in VA told me he does this alot for brides when the photographer misses a shot.
