WORST Toast you've ever heard at a wedding??

Fun question I haven't seen asked before - give your stories of the worst toasts you've ever heard at a wedding! Come on.....we've all heard some bad ones!

My #1 would be........MY WEDDING! BM was extremely nervous, didn't prepare at ALL, and actually said the words 'You're really good together, I hope everything works out OK for you guys.'
Yea........pretty bad. You could see the look on his face immediately afterwards that he wish he could take it back.

#2 - My friends wedding last year. The groom's father gave a toast, and instead of saying 'Best of Luck' he said 'BREAST of luck'!! AND, doesn't help my friend is notoriously known for her girls.....size 34F I believe.

FH and I were at a wedding a few years ago, he was actually the best man ... he was roasting the Groom, telling embarassing stories etc. Mind you, this wedding was in Las Vegas not in NY. People arent as brass there (i guess)... so he tells his story about when the groom was so drunk yadda yadda and he 'vomited on FH's shoes' ... the laughter came to a complete stop and there was this look of horror on the elderly women's faces. None of the BP thought anything of it, yes I probably would have said throw up or got sick ... some of the old ladies got up and excused themselves.

afterwards, the grooms father, who my FH knows well, approached him and said 'vomit? kinda a NY word ...'

we didnt really think so, but apparently everyone in Vegas did ... it was just hysterical to see all the old ladies get up and leave at the same time .... the Groom was DYING

These are horrible! I'd friggin DIE!!!
I was actually kinda nervous about our BM's speech because I didn't know WHAT he'd come up with. But it ended up being outstanding... same with my MOH.. they were both sensational toasts... so I unfortunately can't add on to this thread

I went to one of my best friends wedding this past 7/7/07 and her sisters were BOTH her MOH but said they didnt want to make a speech. Fast forward to 3 hours into the reception, all of a sudden they do!

'OMG Katie, we love you!' Sister 1
'OMG Yeah we do, like SO much!' Sister 2
'OMG yeah SO much!' Sister 1
'OMG and we love Anthony too!' Sister 2
'OMG yeah Anthony and you, Katie, we love you guys!' Sister 1

...and so on and so on until the band leader took the mic away from them!!...needless to say, they were a little drunk! HAHAHAHAHA AND my friend was MOTIFIED!! When I saw her this past Friday she was like 'OMG did you hear their speech, I wanna kill them!' I thought it was hysterical, but I would MURDER my sister if she pulled that!! It was one of those 'Whew, glad it's not MY wedding.' kind of moments!

um at FBIL's wedding and FH gave it!

he had been drinking since 9AM so by the time he went to give the speech this is what he WANTED to say:

I knew you wouldnt get married until you found the right woman and now I know you have found her. But now that you are gone, don't ever think of coming back bc i am going to set up a pool table in your room'

what he SAID:

You always said you would never get married and now you did. ((pause)) if things dont work out you cant move back in bc i am going to put a POOL in your room.

Then, he took the champagne and poured it down the front of his tux instead of in his mouth.

everyone was like why would he put a pool in his room?

Fh's cousin's wedding last year...the best man was the bride's brother and he was so nervous that he drank too much. He was slurring through the entire thing, the MC had to help him hold up his speech and it took forever! And you couldn't understand most of what he was saying.

actully, I gave the toast in my friend's wedding last year...or I was SUPPOSED tooo....after the DJ announced that I would give the toast, and I stood up to make it, the bride's step grandmother (who had just married her grandfather the year before--none of the family liked her bc she is a lot younger, it was a quick marriage, he's wealthy...you get the point) runs up to the microphone and takes it out of my hands, then proceeds to ramble (drunk, of course), so no one can hear a word she's saying.....it was awkward to say the least!

I have nothing to add, but this thread is pretty funny! I think I'd die if anything like this happens at my wedding though. Now I'm a little nervous about my best friend & my sister doing their combined toast....
