Hi toni!

Its the 'Wedding of the Year' at Chateau La Mer. It's a fake wedding and you get to attend it! It showcases a lot of vendors. So its pretty cool. And I'm a dummy and forgot to buy tix!

I'm not going because I don't beleive in paying people for my business.

Well I guess I'll see them all acting tomorrow!! FH and I are seing 3 photographers, 3 DJ's (of which I have prices for already FM me if you want the scoop) 1 limo place ( already have price) 2 Florists (he doesn't know about ) and 1 house.

I'll be single by Sunday!!!!

Holy cow! Are there enough hours in a day for all that?

I think the same. Plus my wedding is at CLM so I can't wait to see how it is actually set up for a wedding and taste ALL the food before hand.

The money collected goes toward the prizes. And in addition LIWeddings kicks in thousands of dollars towards additional prizes. All the vendors donate their time and services. So, you would not be paying anyone if you were able to attend!

I thought you paid to go to TWOTY because you get to see the vendors in action, unlike when you meet with them at their office. I feel that vendor should do giveaways to attract possible business.
and to answer the previous poster, I never been to a tasting where I had to pay, so paying to attend a showcase will seem as if I was paying the vendors to take my business. Just my opinion.

But it's really cool to win stuff. Good Job for providing prizes LIW.

I honestly didn't care about paying because it was like fh and i get to go out to eat! We get a huge meal and get entertained.. how much money would you spend on that anyway?

I understand what you are saying but this is not a showcase so you are not paying to see the vendors in action. Nor is it a tasting. This is a full sit down and way over the top dinner with no expense spared. It's a GTG that is also a full wedding. It's an opportunity to meet the people you have been communicating with on the site and because it's an entire wedding theme you get to see vendors in action as well as have an opportunity to win prizes that they have donated and we have supplied. All-in-all it's a blast!!!!

I never saw it as such. I figured all the money they raised was going toward the prizes.I mean looking at the prizes from last year, thats a lot of money spent!

But the main reason as to why I am going is to see CLM in action. That is where I am having my wedding and while I've been to a food tasting, it will be more exciting and accurate to see an actual wedding.But it will always be nice to walk away with a prize
