Would a salon ever let me do this??

I have a very close friend doing my makeup, as well as my mom and sisters, for my wedding. He mentioned asking the salon where I will get my hair done if he could come along and do my makeup after they set my hair. Now, I haven't booked hair yet...but has anyone ever heard of this being done? I just don't know how well this will play since he's not employed there.

I don't see why not, unless they have a makeup artist there...conflict of intrest...
My salon would let us do that. It dosen't hurt to ask

Mistyeyed.. I'm in the salon business so this is my advice...if you are really committed to having your friend do your makeup, that's great, but then look for a small salon to do your hair - one without their own makeup counter. You will not be able to 'bring your own' to a place like Maximus or Cactus.

If you find someone you like for your hair, but they already have makeup in the salon, maybe the hair person would come to you the day of your wedding. This way you'll have no problem using your friend for your makeup.

that would have to be pretty rude and inflexible if they wouldn't. remember... they want your hair business and its your wedding. they will totally allow it.
