I just got off the phone with a bridal salon to try on wedding gowns and the first thing the woman on the phone says to me is 'You are starting WAYYY to early!' I immedialty became turned off by this because I dont understand why people have to say that! DOes she realize that she just lost a customer and a potential buyer??? I dont get it! Would anyone else me annoyed or am I over reacting?
No it was Bridal Reflections in Massapequa...I dont want to lie...why is that necessary??? Its really annoying me!

Did you try the one in Carle Place? They called me (BR Carle Place) not too long ago and I spoke with Jackie, she knows my date since she got my info from my RH and she seemed more than happy to help me. If you do ask for jackie, she says that 2010 is right around corner and we should all be looking right about now.
I called the one in Carle Place...they said that they didnt have a large selection of dresses in the $1500 price range...she said that I should call the one in Massapequa- now I am totally turned off!
You know what I have heard this as well. I believe on the BHB, we'll find something! What other places are you considering? Is there are certain designer you are looking for?
I hate when that happens. Dont even bother going there if you're going to get that kind of attitude!
Noo I try to look at the dresses online- but have no patience...I dont have a specific designer- any wanted to stay under the $2000 price range...I just put up a post...Hopefully ill get some help on BHB
I am soo sorry you went thru this OMG!!! That was totally rude I don't think is too early because you need to start looking and make your selection a year before so that means you need a little more time in visiting places...I can't believe this sorry you dealt with this :(

The one in Massepequa has some bad reviews, you're probably better off. My MOH was in a wedding this past summer, they did the measurements, they ordered the size...when it came in and didn't fit they told her it was her fault because she has a 'big back' I wouldn't want people treating my girls like that. And now hearing what you said, I'm definitely not going to use them. They are nicer in Carle Place though...I just walked in on a whim one day and they had no day trying to squeeze me in if I wanted to try on.
i would be annoyed too. did you get her name? it could just be her an not a reflection of the store. but if you are totally turned off then don't worry, there are sooo many other places that would love to do business with you.
lie lie lie lol tell them a 2009 date, doesnt hurt to lie to them, that way they will be more eager to help you
ive heard bad things about BR so i am not going to visit there. Plus they make you give them your cc # in order to hold your appointment, something i did not like.
i would so annoyed that i wouldn't even bother with the place again...great service is a key ingredient for us when it comes to vendors!

Your a week after me and I got the total opposite reaction. Between 9-12months for the dress to come in, alternations and if u want to customize, you might have 2 months to spare. So you should be looking now.
