I think your hair looks nice and your makeup is really very dramatic. I say give someone else a try and if you still don't like it then think about doing it yourself.
yea ill try one more if not, im doing it myself lol. i do my makeup everyday and it always lasts so im not worried about that

why would anybody do that blue lol
i just say that if you do it on yourself, to find out not only what foundation covers well bc that we all know which is good for us, but find out which photographs well. Theres ALOT of foundations that look great in person and covers everything up well but once you take a pic with a strong flash and remember photographers cameras are different, you can look very different and washed out. ALot of sheer foundations can come out like that in pics. SO find out what make up bridal make up artists use, and not just the foundation bc usually its never just one. They put concealer under the eyes, another one on top of the lids, then different one for certain spots on your face, then foundation and some put some stuff over it too.
To test it out, do your own make up and take pics of yourself to see how the make up looks in pics. I know theres been so many times i did make up myself and in person looked great but then once i saw the pics i thought eh didnt look great. Also remember you are a bit nervous the day of, i know make up artists who hire someone event hough they do this for living bc they wonder if they'd be able to do it the day of their weddings. I know when my make up SHOULD look good and i overthink and its for something special, thats when i mess up lol. When im just casually doing it, thats when it comes out good but its when i put extra pressure on myself
ETA: i dont know why these make up artists are not listening to what you want thats so wrong. I brought in pics and said OK this is exactly what i want. SOMETIMES you do have to be more firm, once i did it for another occasion and they did something similar, so when i was a bm and went again, i said OK here is a pic, this is exactly what i want, these are the colors, i dont want anything similar, i dont like these colors, i want you to duplicate it

be careful then about how that photographs. It can wash you out a bit. But then again you can always tell them to photoshop. And be careful with bronzer in pics too, even with normal tans, it can look great in person but then in pics its like OH WOW way too much especially against a white dress. One time i was tanned, and loved how nice and tanned i was, oh god i saw a bunch of pics of myself and i just stood out way too much.
Did you take epics? if so did you do your own make up? see how you liked your make up in the pro pics, or if not then do it for the epics

You have to wear some sort of a foundation...wedding day 'picture' makeup is totally different than every day stuff....belive me...I used to be in the tv business and theres a whole process...My makeup girl actually works in the tv film business and made me feel confident about having perfect picture makeup.....this is important!

yeah i dont like wearing alot of foundation, cover up or any of that but for wedding day i knew i had to. Its also one thing how your own camera photographs as opposed to a professional, and they will even have big lights or the aluminum board to catch the sun. You can look washed out or even yellowish or uneven depending on the light. AND it has to last all day so remember that, make sure its not make up that will look great at first, and then by the time your reception starts its mostly off by then. I wear pressed powder and after a few hours i have to reapply, especially after dancing. Or for wedding day we took pics outside in the sun for 2 hours, and if i didnt have good foundation it wouldve melted off

the airbrush? no not at all, i didnt even feel like i had any make up on. If it feels cakey or oily then the make up artist did a bad job bc its not supposed to. INFACT for bridal day make up when you use airbrush you CANT use oil based foundations it has to be water based. Oil based is ONLY for professional photoshoots since its only a short period of time and only meant to look good in the pic. Oil based can streak and feel heavy but its used to get that shiny look in magazines when you see that on the models. my make up artist said a bride should NEVER have on the oil based airbrush, its not meant for an all day thing and ppl will see you in person
when i got to the RH i even ran to the bathroom bc it felt like i had nothing on and thought it was all gone so brought my make up in with me, and when i looked in the mirror i saw that it was still perfectly on and i didnt have to retouch at all, lipgloss only. Even the next day when i woke up, my foundation was still on.

Oh my...
I wouldn't say tranny...but I would say 80's!
Personally, I would try one more trial. I'm like you, I do my own makeup every day, and I wear a lot, so I'm very particular about the way I look. I hated my first trial, and that's when I did my little psycho experiment here, and 99% of the girls said the 'trial' I did myself was better!
But that all changed when I did myself up all fancy for a dinner dance, and it was muggy, humid, and rainy. Not only was I frizz-ball the poodle, my eye makeup melted and ran down my face. What if we get an unseasonably warm day in December? Or what if, God forbid, it's snowing? I didn't want to take that chance, so I said I would try ONE more artist before doing it myself...I was lucky that I found one that totally nailed it. I'm sure you can too...like I said, if you want some suggestions, FM me, I have info for girls that are either free trials or very inexpensive.

I don't think it's crazy! I'm doing my own hair and makeup. I understand that the nerve aspect may get in the way a lil, but there's no way I'm spending all that money when I prefer the way I do things over the way other people do them for me. I've never been satisfied with what someone else has done for me in the past...

who did your trial???????? I think you did a great job with your own makeup! Let's face it, you don't want to look like someone else on your wedding day, you want to look like yourself!! You'll be fine! But you do have time for more trials :)

Re: would i be crazy if... updated with a scary pic ahh, the 2nd pic is wat i wanted lol
I understand why you dont like your trial... unfortunately sometimes its just a misscommunication between you and the makeup artist. You really have to click with someone who really asks all the right questions to make sure they get exactly what you're looking for... if you're interested in another trial you can fm me for info on my girl, I love her. I know doing it yourself might seem like the best idea (and maybe in the end it will be) but you have to think about the special camera, the massive amounts of lights and all the other stuff that isnt there on your 'normal' day. anyway, good luck with it all and fm me if you're interested :)
