i just did my own makeup? i do my own makeup everyday and i have neverr been comfortable with getting it done, but after having trials, i really wanna do it myself lol. a few years ago i had a trial with a very popular makeup artist on this site and another trial the other day and it was awful lol. my whole fam said it was bad ha. during the trial i was veryy specific and it came out the opposite!

I'm starting to feel the same way. My only concern is that I may be too nervous and / or excited that I may not be able to do it as well as I normally do... So I was thinking of having my MOH do it, but I don't like how she does it either.

If you are comfortable doing your own, I'd say do it! I was contemplating doing my own, but I decided to just get it done.
If you haven't gotten any trials that you have liked, why pay for it to be done on your wedding when you can do an amazing job yourself. Just practice! By your wedding day you will have it down pat.

well....I just say that because although i havent been the Bride before getting ready on her big day..I have been the maid...and i couldnt imagine doing any of that myself...between the nervousness of it all and worrying about the girls..the guys..the flowers...the weather...no way..too much going on

yea i was gonna try out dfiferent colors for my eyes, but keep with my regular powder for my face and bronzer....lol we'll see

Go for it! You still have some time for other trials though....are any of your girlfriends/BM's as adept with make-up as you?

If so, make sure they are on hand to assist if necessary. My SIL did her own make-up for her wedding. She looked beautiful and natural.

I looked at your photos and you definitely seem to know what works best on you. Why not give yourself a trial? Post pics and let us give you feedback?

I just went through your pictures to check out your make-up lol It looks great! No, you wouldnt be crazy! I thought of doing my makeup myself to save the money...until my FMIL offered to pay for it. I say do it yourself bc its something you are going to be happy with

aww thanks, i wasnt saying im the best makeup artist, i just meant i feel muchh more comfortable knowing what looks better. if i showed u my trial pic, u would laugh! lol, my bro said i looked like a scary clown! Lol

I completely agree! Just know yourself, would you be too nervous and shaky to do it? If not - then I think you should do it yourself. Have FH take pictures of you in it and make sure you like how the makeup application photographs.

aww no, i wouldnt be nervous. when i called fh and told him my trial was bad, hes like just do it urself lol.

im trying to post the pics of my last trial and u guys will completely understand why i wanna do it myself lol

WELL....is that BLUE on your eyes? i cant tell? i am thinking if it was more natural earthy tones the smokey eye thing would work great!

its ALOT of blue!!!!!!!! i told her i dont want anyyy eye shadow above the crease and she went up to my eyebrow! lol. it looked scarier in person too lol


eta: i hated my hair too lol, i wanted softer curls like i had in the 2nd pic. i ended up with a huge poof on the side of my head. lol
