I was just presented the opportunity to go to an International Writing Center conference. It would be an absolutely wonderful chance because that's really where I see my career goals headed.
Problem? It's Nov 4-6 in Baltimore. My wedding is Nov 13. I know 8 months in advance, so I think I can be prepared. What do you ladies think?

I would do it! You have plenty of time to get everything done that needs to get done and it would be a great opportunity.

I'd definitely do it. It might actually be nice to remove yourself from the wedding planning 2 weeks before the big day.

I agree with the other ladies, this is what you would like to do with your career. Go for it, you have a lot of time to get all your wedding details together and still go to the conference.
This is a great opportunity for you.

I'd say go for it. Because you have enough time, you can let everyone know, so if they were planing to do something that weekend, they can work around it. It would also be a nice break from planning and just give you time to ready yourself for the big day.
