My dad passed away several years ago and I was much closer to him then my mom. what are thoughts on me walking down aisle myself? that is what I want to do- i think. Some have said have my FH's dad- who i am close to, or my dad's dad- grandpa- but not as close since dad passed.

I think it's fine if you want to walk yourself down. Maybe carry a memory candle with you along with your flowers.
I think the idea of walking down with your grandpa is nice too, but do you think your mom would be hurt that its not her?

I think if that is what you really want then it is fine.

who you choose to walk you down the aisle or not walk you is a personal decision. I think having your dad's dad walk you is a nice idea but again its something you have to want. the day i met with my florist a girl dropped off a small locket with her dad's picture in it that she asked the florist to attach to her bouquet. I thought that was really sweet. Good luck with your decision.

If you want to walk down alone, walk down alone. You should totally do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable!!!

Whatever you want to do at your wedding is appropriate

Do whatever you want to do, but I would wait until you're absolutely sure to tell anyone otherwise feelings might get hurt if you later change your mind.

I am having both my parents walk me down. Why not have your mom AND your grandpa as a representative of your dad? This way your mom gets to take part too, and everyone knows you are honoring your dad.

I think it's absolutely appropriate! It's your wedding.
I saw a few people do some different things, like you may want to put a key chain or something from your dad around your bouquet or hold a picture of him as you walk down the aisle.
My cousin's dad passed away and she had her mom and her grandpa both walk her down the aisle. But again, if you don't want them too - it's your wedding.
Good Luck!
