would it be weird...

to have a bridal shower at J & R's steakhouse in stony brook? not your typical pretty, girly bridal shower place, but i was just browsing online at places (needs to be less than $25) to have a shower...

J & R is $13.99 per person - minimum 25 guests -18% Gratuity + Sales Tax for a luncheon that includes salad, entree, and dessert.

i figure we're already doing italian for our wedding and RD.and that the shower should just be the girls eating good food and just enjoying each other's company. has anyone had any experience at J&Rs with their catering? or any input/suggestions?

I've never been there, but why not have your shower there? It's a great price. And a shower is about getting together with girls, opening gifts, and talking excitedly about the upcoming wedding. It doesn't matter where you are as long as the food is good, the service is good, and the company is great!

I have been to showers in all different places, people's houses, restaurants, chateau briand and i've loved them all. I don't think i've ever walked away saying 'I can't BELIEVE they had a shower there'. Don't overanalyze it. If the place has good food and you're happy and smiling, that's all people will care about.

That is a great idea !! My girlfriend had her sons christening party there. We had a private room, the food was really good and their servers were on the ball.

I love that place! We've had a few family parties there and they were all great!!

They have such a nice private room and great food!! We are having our RD there!!!

I think it would be fine---I actually think that ***'s has a room that could be a private room? I may be confusing it with another one (and of course it would depend how many people) but if so that wouldn't be bad at all!

OMG you should do this! My FH's cousin's bridal shower was there and it was so good. Also I just had my friend's bridal shower at the J and R's in Rocky Point and they also did a great job. The food is great and they give you good portions! I didn't know the price was that good either! Go for it!
