Would it bother you?

If a friend of yours got engaged after you and is getting married before you?

me and FH were talking about this, ive actually wanted someone to have a wedding soon because im dying to go to a wedding before mine because i havent been to one in so long...we have one coming up

FH's BM and his fiance got engaged about 3 hours before us! They are getting married 4 months before us. I don't mind though for the same reason you had... I want to go to a wedding before my own.

It wouldn't bother me...I love going to weddings. It kinda holds me over because i just can't wait for my own!!!! Plus I try to get my engaged friends to do planning with me and join LIW.

well i wanted to be the first of our friends to get married and now its not gonna happen... they are also the type that would go over the top with their wedding and i didnt wanna have to live up to someone elses ya know?

yea i understand that, but now you can see what they did that maybe went wrong and you can do it right at yours lol

i actually would rather that they have their weddings before mine....b/c I don't want anyone that I know to copy me.

no it wouldn't bother me. my FH best man got engaged after us and is getting married before us. i like that ours is one of the last weddings of that year.

Oh... i am fine with it now... it was just a shocker in the very beginning... im just praying they dont have a cigar roller cuz i know her fh loves cigars .... i dont want them havin anything i plan on b/c then i look like the copy cat... LOL

thats the only thing that kinda *****, because if you plan on doing something special like that, and they do it. people will think youre copying.

I wouldn't mind at all. If they can afford it more power to them! I wish we could get married sooner but there is no way we could swing a mortgage and the wedding right now...

I am getting married 4 months after my sister and she was engaged first. Everyone asked her if she was mad and she was shocked anyone would think that.

She is just happy for me.

She did say if I was getting married 1 month after her or before her she would be upset.

Out of 3 girls I was the first to get engaged and I will be the last to get married. It's fine, no big deal.

This happened to me a couple of times...and honestly, it did bother me a bit inside...nothing big, but I did feel a little twinge of....something, I don't know how to describe it

I wouldn't really care. Each wedding is different because they are a reflection of the bride and groom's personalities!

Wouldnt bother me at all. But i have a friend that has been dating this guy for like 6 almost 7 yrs & she was telling everyone that she better get engaged before me & well that didnt happen & now that she finally got engaged & she found out her wedding was after mine she was upset about that too. I was like is she freakin idiot or what??? I cant understand that thought process meanwhile lil ol me was actually so genuinely happy for her that she got the damn ring! DUH on me! I dontbelieve in jealousy its a disease!

I want to go to a wedding before mine! I have a friend whom I work with at my part-time job who was engaged before me and is getting married this summer. I really want to go to her wedding but since she invited almost everyone from our dept., my boss has to figure out who can work that night. Personally, I think she can work it out because there are new people there who don't know the bride. Anyway, I really hope I can go and see another wedding before mine! I have only been to two weddings. Too bad we can't just shut the place down for the wedding; I guess you can't do that at a hospital though!
