If a friend of yours got engaged after you and is getting married before you?
me and FH were talking about this, ive actually wanted someone to have a wedding soon because im dying to go to a wedding before mine because i havent been to one in so long...we have one coming up

I dunno... but I was bothered when a friend of mine who was dating her fiance for 3 or 4 months got engaged when I had been dating FM for 3 years... they are getting married this summer... but now i am happy for them.... Plus it gives me a reason to fly to Israel this summer

I honestly wouldn't care about the next person getting married. This is something that shouldn't even be an issue.

Well, in my experience- FH has a friend. He was telling him that he was going to propose to me in October / November. This person had to go out and beat him to it. Give me a fricken break! Other than that- I am over it and could care less. I am going to a couple of weddings before ours and honestly, I can't wait. I just want to have a great time.

i just dont get it. I mean just have a dinner party then if you cant have the wedding.
My cousin is doing that. He secretly got married and didnt tell anyone then it came out but they are planning a wedding in europe for next year... now y should i spend all my money to go when he is already married.

not really. FH's sister got engaged after us and they're getting married in october. i would have an issue tho if someone were getting married RIGHT before me.

Honestly, I wouldn't care either way. I wanted a September wedding and I was not moving my date. I am happy for all of my friends that are getting married ... whenever it is.

It wouldn't bother me. We chose to be engaged for a longer period of time than many people.

FH and I have know each other since the 6th grade, but started dating 3 1/2 yrs ago. We have a friend who started dating and 4 months later was living together and with in the same year was married...i was a little annoyed but of course so happy for them.
We went to everyone's wedding, now it's our turn. All of FH's friends are married. My friends are still dating and not serious, so we are the only wedding coming up. Last year we had 12 weddings to attend....

As far as friends go, no one else is currently engaged or planning a wedding. As far as family goes, I have a cousin who just got engaged after me and is getting married before me. I have no problem with that. If it were at my RH though, then that would be a different story...
