FH & I had our e-party last year and I worried so much about who we invited and how to address the invites. He has a very large family and we are not having kids at the wedding. I wanted to make sure everyone was included and not upset anyone.
WELL....we get an invite yesterday to his cousins eparty. The envelope says:
FH full name & Fiance!
Now mind you I have been with FH for almost 5 years and now I am reffered to as 'fiance'
Not even a first name and no last name...Just 'Fiance'
Am I blowing this out of proportion that it bothers me that they did this?

It definitely would have bothered me.
I got an invite for an engagement party, the envelope was written out to me and then my fiancee's name was whited out!! I was fuming!
(Turns out, they were on a limited budget and only inviting certain people with guests...)
At that point, I think using another envelope would have been better..
Is this a real story because I feel like it is so ridiculous and tacky!!! I'm with you, just get another envelope. It would of been annoying if FH wasn't invited but at least their wouldn't of been white out showing that he was originally invited!
Sad to say, yes it is..

Re: Would this bother you?
Same thing happened to me and my fiance's friends wedding the place card said FH full name and guest... Meanwhile FH was in the wedding party and we have been together 6 years and live together. We hang out with the couple all the time.. it just irritated me ! like at least put FH and Natalie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your not alone
