Would this pi$$ you off?

Ive posted before about how FH is from NJ and I am from NY. My shower (yes i know about it) is in NY and FH's family was giving me a hard time because and i quote 'They dont cross the GW bridge'

So, they finally get over themselves and all RSVP, that they are coming. My parents are having a BBQ at our house for the men, while the women are shower. FH tells me that his mom said that FSIL invited all the men to her house on the day of my shower b/c she thinks its more convienent for her family. FSIL lives on exit 90 on the garden state pkway.!!!!!!!

***?!?!?!?!?!?!? It 1 day!?!?!?!?!?!

I should also mention FSIL is a controlling *****. She is 8 years older the FH and I have never seen siblings fight for their parents attention they way FH and FSIL do. I dont get. But regardless she feels the need to call the shots on the day of my shower.

seriously though, don't let where the men are going to be hanging out concern you. As long as the women are going to 'cross the GW' that's all you need to be concerned with, right? There's clearly a power play going on, let FMIL and FSIL play like children, don't worry about it, just have fun at your shower.

Power play is exactly what it is. FH is the only boy, his mom has sisters and they all had daughters except for FH. I think his family is used to being on the brides side where you make more of the decisions.

I totally agree!

I also think you guys should move to LI just to piss his family off....OK that was not nice....The spiteful girl in me just needed to get that out.

I'd Def be annoyed! Sometimes it feels like FHs family doesn't care bc he's a boy and they're not so involved!

I found out that like 7 ppl are coming to my shower from FH's side. We have like 50!

Thats fine, i know my family from around LI will probably go to my parents, i honestly didnt expect every guy from NJ to go, but the fact that FMIL and FSIL didnt even say 'Hey Dana, is your mom planning on doing anything'

It was just like oh fsil is planning on everyone going to her house. I should mention
fsil houses is over 5600 sq feet. We go there for every holida.....
