would this stop u from booking...

FH and I really liked majestic gardens, but a some of people we know have been there for events other than weddings. Would this stop u from booking-we don't want people to think were getting married at a sweet 16 or company dinner place rather than a wedding place. What do u think??

it wouldn't stop me. any place that does a wedding will do another type of party, too.

ets: The place that my cousin got married at also did her father's 60th Bday party. We all LOVE the place so we were just happy to get to go again

No, that shouldn't stop you. All the catering halls do other events besides weddings.

thanks ladies!! this helps. We've looked at over 20 places and this 1 sticks out but thats the only thing holding us back. Have any of u been to anything there?

My cousin had his wedding there this past April and the service was the best service I have ever had at a wedding! I was incredibly impressed! Each time I got up, someone was there to refold my napkin! Very classy in my opinion!

No, that wouldn't stop us at all. We LOVED Majestig Gardens and would have booked them if they were closer. Go for it!

I am having my WEDDING reception at MG at it IS an amazing place to have WEDDING receptions. People have sweet 16's and company dinner parties at MANY different reception locations all over Long Island. I don't understand why you would think it is not good enough because you have heard that they do other events besides weddings. If you love it, then book it!

Its not that I don't think its good enough, I loooove it. I'm worrying too much about what other people will relate it too. But this might be a good thing because they will see the huge difference between other parties there and a wedding there!!

I'm sure this would be the case for most of the places i have looked at, this one is the closest one to where i live, so i hear about it more.

Depends who and for what events. For example, if one of my cousins in my BP had her sweet 16 there, then yes, that would stop me from booking the place. There are just SO many beautiful halls out there to choose from.

However, it's very likely that somebody on your guestlist will have been to your wedding site.

Nope. We are actually getting married at the Swan Club, which I love from being there for a business party. If you love it, book it. It's your day.

Actually after we booked the Swan Club...some of my guests said that they couldn;t wait for my wedding because they had been there for weddings, dinners etc and loved it! It made me happier that my guests were looking forward to it

I'd go for it! My best friend had her wedding reception there and it was simply perfect. The food and service were excellent! Do whatever makes you happy and what you feel in your heart is right for you and your FH.
