Re: would you...
I dont think I would care if they were in the same color. Although, my mom may. How does your mom feel about it?

Re: would you...
Well heres the thing that is making me mad. She originally went and ordered her dress in a different color. My mom had already ordered her dress in the brown, but we didn't want to say until we knew for sure we could get it. So finally we got the call that we were good to go, and I tell my FMIL, mind you, my mother also told my FMIL what color she was wearing.... So then on Saturday she called and tells me that she changed it to brown!!! The same color as my mother! I told my mom on Sunday and she wasn't very happy. She turned to me and was like, what are we the bopsy twins? Why did she change her color to my color after I told her I was wearing brown!.
IDK, I'm annoyed, but what can I do right?

I would be annoyed
I don't really talk to my FMIL so the color she'll wear will be a surprise. She knows what my mom is wearing though so hopefully she'll use common sense

Re: would you...
I dont care if they match. I simply asked for no color btw. white and gold (ivory, taupe, cream, etc). since my dress is a gold color. FMIL is in brown and my mom is going with a chanti (brighter brown color)

yea thats kinda like my wedding..
The BM are wearing champagne but its more gold than anything and my mom is wearing brown with some taupe in it and FMIL is wearing a brown, but Im not sure what tone it is... I'm over it, I was annoyed but thought about it and talked to FH about it and I'm over it.

Re: would you...
It would upset me... I would feel like she is trying to upstage my mom.
My mother would make the same comment.

Re: would you...
it depends why, and how your mom feels about it.
FMIL waited until my mom found a dress and then ruled out that color. i didnt care, and told her if she found a brown dress it was fine as long as they didnt look similar, but then i wasn't sure if my mom would mind. i went with FMIL and helped her pick out a beautiful pewter dress that looks great on her, so it's probably for the best that they are different?
i dont think they are supposed to match or supposed to not match colors. its just whatever you all prefer.
maybe she thinks she is supposed to be in the same color?

Re: would you...
I thought it was inproper to have them wear the same color. Did she deliberately buy the same color? I know my mother would be pissed, but she is a difficult person. My FMIL bought her dress without consulting with me too much, but she lives in FLA. I did tell her the color that my mom was looking for. Now my mom said she doesn't think she will be choosing that color theme anymore. I feel it is so close to the wedding, I don't blame FMIL for buying the dress. It really depends on how it happened, if she could not wait anymore cause it is getting close or she thought she was going for a different color theme.

Who knows what she thinks... My mom got her dress first and you would think she'd say ok, so that colors out, but instead she changed it from the original color she choose, which annoyed me. its like she waited to find out what color my mom wore to try and upstage her.

thankfully its not the same dress, she bought a different designer. my mom has Jovani and she has Illusions or something like that. though I googled it and wasn't able to find that designer! Oh well... I'm kinda past it now, Im annoyed but what can i do. I'm not getting involved with that anymore. I told FH and he felt bad, but he's a guy, he doesn't get it, and there isn't anything that could be done cause its ordered and done with now...

Re: would you...
I don't think so. FMIL was asking this weekend what my mom was wearing and I said she doesn't know yet - my mom even told her get anything you like -
