Postpone your honeymoon for a job? I may have to go away for training right through the wedding, so I would come home friday, get married saturday, and go away again monday. No honeymoon
Would you do it if it was a job with a good future?

Re: Would you.....
FH and I are debating the same thing right now - it is incredibly difficult to decide. I am being a bit of a ***** about it, I want my HM!!!! I earned it after all this work!
But if I have to, I will wait

Nope! I postponed my HM the first time and here we are 9.4 years later! You deserve a HM!

Re: Would you.....
what kind of job is it Sunny? That sounds like a lot....at least to me it would be, kind of like cramming your wedding in the middle of job stuff....but if you feel that the long term benefits are worth it then go for it!

Re: Would you.....
I am currently interviewing for 2 jobs- one I will not do it for but the other.......I may have to. It is a civil service job. Right now I have no health insurance, so I really need benefits.

Honestly, in the last year, I've learned to go with the flow, and if the flow takes you on your honeymoon a little late, well, that's where you should let the flow take ya....

Stef - go with your gut. If you have a good feeling about this job, you can make it work. and you'll have a honeymoon to look fwd to !
Just dont postpone it too long, you dont want it falling on the backburner and always getting pushed off...

Re: Would you.....
Honestly, yes I would postpone...but I know a lot of people wouldn't. I think you have to be in that situation to really know. But if was going to benefit both of us, then it's worth it to me. Good luck making your decision!

Re: Would you.....
I postponed part of my honeymoon. Well actually canceled it. I was supposed to be gone for 2 weeks but my boss was going for IVF and it was at the same time. So instead of the whole 2 weeks we were only gone for 8 days. My DH who is a sweetheart agreed with me that it was for a good cause, so we did it. She was so grateful that when raise time came I got a really good one!!!

Sunny- Congratulations on the possible job. You have to do what is best for you. My MOH had the same thing. They had their honeymoon 6 months later and it was great!!! She said it brought up all the wedding excitement feelings again just as they were dying down.
Everyone deserves a honeymoon but you have to do what it best for you in the LONG term

Re: Would you.....
Definitely, I'd just try to take the honeymoon as soon as I could, and not put it off forever. We're leaving 3 weeks after our wedding b/c we got a much much better deal on a flight and resort (and since we're spending 3 wks in Fiji it made a significant difference).

Re: Would you.....
If you are going to postpone, then book your delayed honeymoon NOW, so it won't get overlooked. A have known a few people who delayed honeymoons and as long as you go, it should be fine
