would you be mad? (a little long) vent

would you be mad? (a little long) vent

Here is the background story.

My FH had his bachelor party this past weekend. They went up state from Friday - Monday (4 day trip) and did all kinds of out door activities.

In June he is having another party. This time with the dad's, uncles and groomsmen. they are going out east on a fishing boat trip and then back to his parent house for a BBQ.

ALSO - the week of the wedding he is having a golf outing with the groomsmen, dads and others. since our RH is on a golf course.

ONE more thing to thank his best men, he is taking them to a yankee game when we get back from out honeymoom.. . . with one other random friend.

So fh emails me today -

'I emailed and texted all the guys who went away last weekend to thank them. I just wanted to let you know that Ted, Dan, and Kevin wanted to take me out to a steak dinner and a strip club. I told them I wasn't interested in going to the strip club.'

I am annoyed! He is not dying, this is not his bucket list. We have 79436756758 wedding things to do - and he can have 50 bachelor parties.

Honestly id just let my FH just do whatever he wants .. You can have some time alone with your friends too. Its not like hes doing anything bad ya know?

JMO :) Dont stress it. As long as you guys are getting the stuff done that you need to thats all that matters..

that does seem like a lot... I'd talk to him about it.

omgggggggggg. yeah, john kept tryin to have things too. he had 1 long wknd in VEGAS...1 night out. and then 1 dinner g2g with some guy friends

i think i was jealous.

idk if i was mad, more like annoyed like 'are you kidding me'

but as long as he gets his part of the wedding stuff done, there is not much you can complain about

just give him a list and make sure it gets DONE!!

hey -- how is that whiteboard with your 'to do' list workin out???

I dont know if it would make me mad. I dont think so.

Only would make me mad it if it was interfering with wedding things we had to do or our plans.

It's not like bachelor parties, but the guys just going out for quality time. I think it's important to have guy time or girl time with your friends. Again, if it's getting in the way of wedding things, I would say somethiing...and since it's bothering you, maybe say something...but i would just look at it as time with the boys. Go out with your girls on those nights!!! Or have quality time by yourself and enjoy :)

personally I would be annoyed...I feel like I am going through a little bit of the same thing. FH wanted to go to vegas and only 4 out of the 8 guys in the wedding can go. He is going to Vegas with those 4 and then later in the summer having another big to-do with everyone in NYC (he's from MD so they are all coming up here) but how is that fair why do you get to 2 bachelor parties and I only get to have one? ugh

thanks girls - He is totally slacking on the things he needs to do for the wedding.

janis the white board is up, but I am the only one crossing off the list

I dont think I'd be too upset.... a lot of those sound like 'guys' outings and such. Get a bunch of your girlfriends together for dinners, spa treatments, manis, pedis...

but I would make it a point to say something about how you have so much to do for teh wedding still. make him do both!

I'd be annoyed - I think you should tell him how you feel.

if thats the case then just tell him to get on it... but i honestly wouldnt really relate the fact that hes going on bparties to the fact that hes not taking care of wedding stuff...

Yes, I would be annoyed. I would explain to him that he gets a bachelor party not bachelor month!

OKay out with the Dad's and uncles I would let that one go... Is the Yankee game part of your FH's gift to his BM. If so then again I think you have to let it go.

i would be annoyed though. Glad he isn't going to strip places all these times but I would still be annoyed

But you CAN have two if you want to though right? Make another night out with the girls!

hmmm..i dont really think i'd be annoyed, because i feel like those are things he might do anyways, regardless of whether or not you're getting married..

like fh went to the mets/yankee game sunday with 3 of his gm..but he would do that regardless of the wedding..

haha his idea of a night out on the town in NYC is totally different than mine lol. Obviously I could hang out with the girls whenever but I think he should be saving his money and vacation time and pick one of the two not both because it if he isn't doing something with everyone then Vegas is really just a vacation in disguise not a bachelor party

Slacking on things that need to get done is a whole other issue .. I think that part definitely needs to be addressed.

i woudn't be mad... but if he was not getting wedding things done that are on his list or other important things, because of it I might ask him to sit one out!

i kinda agree here. i'd really be pissed at my anthony if he wasnt getting his wedding shiz done and going on all these excursions on top of that. however i think you just have to tell him straight out, you have to do this on this day and go here on this day. and if he has to cancel or postpone one of his outings, so be it. the wedding is the only deadline you have, he will still be a 'free man' after the wedding.
