you went out to a club with a friend (has a boyfriend for 8 years) and everytime you went out she leaves you and talks to guys she knows for the whole night. She kind of stays with me but I am left to the side. She has even disappeared for hours w/ people she sees when I'm with other people. Even if I am with other friends I don't think she should leave us the whole night. She text messages people from her phone the whole night, even from the dance floor! The reason I don't like when she hangs out w/ all these 'guy friends' is because I am left talking to their friends the whole night and I am married so I don't want to be left talking to a guy, I want to hang out w/ her. Is it me? I told her this last night and she thought I was being silly that this bothered me. Now I feel bad.

It is totally not you.
You guys made plans to hang out together so she shouldn't be leaving you behind.
Is she not commited to her boyfriend? I know when I went out with my best friend and I was dating my ex whom I was with for 7 years, I would try to chat with guys because I knew I needed to find another man that my ex wasn't for me.
You definently shouldn't feel bad, that was not right of her. Why would she text message while dancing with someone? That's pretty silly IMO

nah...that would bother me too! I like to go out to have fun with MY friends..some are single so sometimes i get left to fend for myself..but i do understand that. BUT getting left for the majority of the night to talk to other friends..that would bother me. I don't think i would go out with the same person unless you brought another person that you could talk to, aside from 'her friends'. So you don't feel abandoned

i am right there with you - i have a friend who deos the same - sometimes i feel like, why am i even here? i wish i could back and hang out with my own dh then......

I would tell her as long as you are going to leave me by myself to talk to other guys or other friends I am not going to go to the club with you.or tell her you would like to be apart of your other friend's group if they are nice . tell her you feel uncomfortable with what she is doing. ask her if she is unhappy with her boyfriend and if she is why is she still with him? I hope things work out for you.

Thanks girls! I don't think she is looking for another guy. I think she just likes to flirt. I'll be sure to bring other girls out next time. After I told her how I felt she saw a guy she knew and said to me 'I'm scared to even say hi to him cause you might get mad.' Oh boy. You can say hi, just don't leave me for 3 hours!!!!
