Ladies i wanted to know would you get mad at a family member or friend if u were getting married and than they got married a little after you said you are and you told them some of your ideas and they stole all of them.......is it petty 2 be mad at them

Well, what kind of ideas? If someone copied my dress, yes I would be mad. If they chose similar colors or used some of my vendors then no I would not be mad.

Yea I would be mad... But if they are getting married after you then it's okay because it doesn't look like you are copying them.

maybe a little depending on what the ideas were (if they were to make your wedding completely unique) but if you do it first then it is clear whose ideas they were

I'd be a little annoyed but I also would be flattered.. I recommended ALL of my vendors to ANYONE I know getting married bc they were so good to me... PLUS.. YOU are getting Married FIRST.. I wouldn't sweat it

getting engaged right after me -- no, not in my control at all. stealing my ideas, yes -- and then i would just make sure not to share my ideas with them anymore. or, share ideas of things i dont want to use.

it depends on who it is. Honestly, my bestfriend got engaged about 6 months before I did, however, because me and FH aren't having as long of an engagement - my wedding is only 2 months after hers. We did a lot of planning together and even chose the same RH. But there was never any 'bitterness' in either one of us! She even offered to give me anything I might want from HER wedding (like church decorations, cake cutter, etc). But we're also very close, so something like this (sharing our engagements and such) only made us closer and it was good to have a friend to plan with. HOWEVER - because my wedding is after hers and because i'm my own person, i definitely did everything in my power to make sure it's as different as possible. I chose a dress that did not resemble hers, we have completely different things going on in the ceremony, complete opposite wedding colors, different limo service, photographer, DJ, and the list goes on and on. So in the end, our only similarities are the Hall and the fact that we're 2 months apart (plus we're each in each others BP).
So i wouldn't be annoyed depending on who it is and what ideas they actually stole

Sombody close to me (can't say who) is a bride and getting married before me but got engaged after me. I told her all my ideas and she ordered my wedding dress (before I did) Is using my song, and is using my BM dresses in different colors. I have since changed everything but I was enraged. I don't think it's pettie of you at all. FH said im immature and should be flattered but IMO I hope she looks fat in that dress!!!!

I'd be mad too -- I'll admit it, I had unique BM dresses and planned my whole wedding around them and a friend who came to our wedding and is getting married less than a year after us is copying the same dresses (same designer, color, style) and played it off like she didnt pick them out (her FSIL supposedly did) and would change them if i minded... so i called her bluff and told her i actually would prefer she pick something else if she didn't really care what dress she used.... and then all of a sudden she LOVED the dresses and would let me know what happens... well, 3 weeks have passed and i havent heard from her

Yes, I would be mad (but also a little flattered). If it was me, I would not share any more ideas with this person..I would only ask her for her ideas from now on and be very vague about my own ideas with her. You would think that brides would want to have the most unique wedding possible, not copy friends' ideas right?!

yes, I'd be P.O'd. I knew a certain someone would do this, so our lips have been SEALED since we started planning. Maybe I'm petty, but whatever, I'd be peeved.
BUT, look at it this way, if you're getting married first, they'll look stupid and unoriginal and bore people to death when people see a replica wedding, it'll all be new at yours.
