Would you be pissed off if...

Original post by jbride2b

Would you be pissed off if a distant friend of yours, after being engaged for over a year, suddenly decided that she wants to have a wedding in July, one months before yours (because this way they can have a 2 months honeymoon in Australia). This is after she, along with everyone else, knew that your wedding is that August.

And, she's inviting all of the same friends you're inviting (she's distant friends with them all as well).

And, she's planing on having it at the exact same place you're having it at! (Assuming it's not booked.)

...Someone, please, tell me that I'm being a Bridezilla and that I'm being insensitive to other people's circumstances.

So she ended up booking at another place... That one was booked for her day!
Yeiii!

She keeps asking me for advice, and I'm now afraid to tell her anything good about my vendors!

I so wish hers was after mine; I would give her every single phone number, every single detail, and tell her exactly who I liked, didn't, and why.

I still gave her 3 long lists of advice, it was just very vague.

I would give her the name and numbers of all the vendors which got bad reviews

Ok...so your friend is being a little insensitive about the wedding date and hall....but don't get crazy about it....its not as if your families are the same...just a few friends.

I would stop telling her all your wonderful ideas....and just do your wedding better than hers....since hers will be 1st; you will have the oppurtunity to learn from her mistakes. If there is something that the hall did that you didn't like you can address it with the banquet manager...and I'm sure that you will think of some minor things that you can improve on that will make a world of difference.

I guess I would be upset, but not that angry. I guess because I have seen much worse happen.

I guess you are worried about the effect it will have on your wedding. But I would also bit the bullet and be happy for her.

Perhaps though, you could ask her if she would mind looking at another place to have it, explaining that you would like some authenticity to the wedding since they are so close.

Remember, you will have family there, too.

Hope all goes well.

1st, is this person really a friend. Is there a reason you all lost touch with her...

2nd-I would be more upset about what her actions mean than the actions themselves.

3rd-all your friends know that yours was planned first and they will realize why they lost touch with her from the beginning.

All in all, your wedding will be different because it's yours.
