My friend and I were speaking this morning and she was saying how at 30 yrs old one would of thought she would be at a different place
I said to her if I didnt get married or ever meet the one, at this stage of the game. I would date married men. I feel the older you get who the hell needs the headaches. You do as you please and have someone help you out.
I sound like a hussy, but thats how I feel

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
No, I wouldn't want to be someone's mistress because I wouldn't want it done to me. Sorry, JMHO.

Stay away from my man wacky!!
I see what you are saying, but who's to say 'you' wouldn't meet 'the one' later in life? If you were only dating married men they would all be futureless (that is so not a word ) relationships.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
I can't tell if you're serious or not...but I'll bite.
Um, no, I wouldn't be someone's mistress. If I hadn't met my FH at this stage in my life...I'd probably be hanging out with my single g/friends - taking care of myself...not expecting a married man to do it for me. I respect myself too much to do something like that...but that's just me.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
yeah really, no one's inviting you to a get together after that comment... JUST KIDDING!!
It is good you can be honest about these things....But I honestly think if you were in the situation, you wouldn't feel the same way. You found 'the one', that is why it is hard for you to know what you would do if you hadn't.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
no I would not. First off, I would want more out of a relationship then always being second and alone (if you were first he'd divorce his wife) and then second no way would I want it done to me.
If anyone would be one,,,,,better be prepared to fight....If you knew he was married,,, the 2 of you would be in a world of hurt.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
Jenny, I know men whose wives know for damn sure that their husbands cheat. But they are use to a life style and tolerate it.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
Wacky,
You are right about women who know that their men are cheating and they stay with them because of the lifestyle they are used to. I know someone who does this. I think it is nuts and I would never do it, but to each his own.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
I would. Just think about it. You get all the gifts and attention, but you don't have to clean up a dirty bathroom, or worry about stinky clothes on the floor (not that my husband does this anyway). You get to keep your house or apartment the way that you like it! There is no pressure!!!

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
Never! I think it is horrible. My mom was there with my dad years ago and watching the hurt that she suffered as being the one to do all the things mentioned by Wendy and then have him run off to another woman all for 'fun' makes me utterly sick.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
nope, ...if the man was cheating on his wife, whats to stop him from cheating on me?
my fh and i have discussed this topic already and both agreed, if your having problems and thinking of looking elsewhere(and are not going to work it out) then it is better to simply end it with the spouse, then date who you want, instead of cheating behind their back

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
Yes, you wouldn't be the cheater but the man you'd be with would be a cheater. He may have a loving wife and unbeknownst to her the husband is a DOG. It would hurt me to no end if I ever found out that FH cheated on me. I wouldn't ever want to know that I could be the source of someone's pain.

Re: Would you be someones mistress?
Hitting 30 does not mean you have NO chance of a real relationship or marriage. When I hit 30 I was dating a jerk and it was very depressing for me but that doesn't mean I would date a married man. Not only would that cut- me off from having a long term meaniful relationship but it would just make me feel worse.
