Would you be ticked?

Original post by BKtoLI

So the post office seems to really be on the ball, and everyone seems to have gotten their invites that I only mailed on Saturday. We've gotten some emails and calls raving about the invitations and the zazzle customized stamps.

So a friend of mine calls me and asks me if she can bring along a friend of hers who I've met maybe twice in the last 10 years and I'm not crazy about. When I had invited her with a guest, I presumed she was bringing her live in BF, not someone else.

Now granted, I have no problems with her bringing who she wants to since she only knows my immediate family. But I feel like she's just bringing someone for the sake of bringing someone since she was invited with a guest.

When I have done the same thing in the past, I was usually b!tched at for it. Do I have a right to be slightly ticked or should I just bite my tongue? I basically already told her, if she feels more comfortable bringing someone with her, then fine, but I wasn't too happy about her choice.

Technically, when you say guest, you mean a BF or FH. We are all adults here, a guest doesn't mean a friend. I think you have every right to say that her that the guest invite was meant for her BF NOT a friend. Also, if she is your real friend, then she should understand that you do not like the person she wants to bring.

I have to disagree with you here...a guest is a guest...there's no 'technical' meaning of a guest. It can be a male or a female, a friend or whoever...I've been to weddings where I wasnt dating anybody and brought a friend...we had a great time together and the bride did not see a problem with it at all.

Now, if the person is bringing someone I dont like, then I would obviously confront her and let her know how I feel about it.
