It is more respectful for the grooms mother not to do that... you should say something

i told the mothers to both wear blues, any blues
yeah me too, i told them both wear champagney colors.
Me three, except they did it by accident. I'm not worried about it. I figure 1. hopefully everyone will be looking at ME 2. if they are happy and comfortable, one less thing to stress about. 3. our pics will look so coordinated!

IMO, at all the weddings I've been to the MOB always got more attention than the MOG. Sounds childish on my end, but this is what I've observed....
that made me feel better! thanks

Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal. You might want to get your Mom a bigger and more elegant corsage....or maybe even a bok (smaller than the girls of course).

I would definitely be upset. I'm in a similar situation as well. My mom is plus sized and my fh's mom is very thin and sexy for her age, so i wouldn't want my mom being shown up either. me and fh have gotten into fights b/c i wanna go with fmil to pick out her dress and he tells me not to worry b/c his mom's a great dresser. i know she is, and that's kind of the problem..
but anyway, i would be upset if i were you. it's definitely not right
My mom too is a plus size and FH's mom is like this bit of a thing........My mom too would probably say she would be ok with it, but I want my mom to shiny!!!!!!

My mom would be so pissed, and I wouldnt blame her, I didnt have that problem my mom did a purple/blue and MIL did a light green, but I dont blame you for being upset everyone knows the rule that MOB goes first and MOG should do a different color not different shade

I personally like the idea that they will have the same color. I want my fmil and mom to do that. But I understand why you feel that way.
If your mom is ok with it then let it be. Your mom is going to look beautiful.

I don't know, I get really uptight about things, but I don't think that would bother me so much. It is a little odd that she made a big deal of asking you though, you would think that was so she didn't pick the same color, not go out and get the same. I'd be more concerned with FMIL buying a cream dress myself.

aww im sorry..thats a bit strange imo...if your mom doesnt care i guess leave it..but maybe browse through some stores and see if u find anything..hth
ps..mob is supposed to pick her dress first so people will know she copied

I would be annoyed if she didn't check with my mom first. Thats why the MOB gets to get their dress first.

I would be annoyed only because shes asked what color your mom was wearing. Why bother to ask if she was gonna go ahead and order whatever she wanted? That;s kind of rude, I mean of all the colors out there she didn't have to choose the same color.
My mom had this happen to her when she got married, my grandmother picked out her dress in a greenish color and my father's mother decided to go and buy the same color, same fabric dress just slightly different -- my mom mentions it to this day

I think my mom will be the same! She will always remember even is she says she doesnt mind .. Im just hoping everyone will know that my mom bought her dress frist... so it wont make her look like the bad one
