I feel for you. I know just how upsetting it can be. FH's twin brother got engaged about 5 months after us (this past January) and they tried to get married before us! We only had a year long engagement and they wanted to have theirs before us, well really FSIL did. FMIL told FBIL not to disrespect us that way and that they should wait. Now they're getting married next June.
Anyway, like I said, I know how upsetting it can be, but just focus on the fact that you and your brother are both getting to marry people that you love. Yes, the family will have to travel twice, but they'll do it. I wouldn't worry about that. Just go on planning your wedding and enjoy this time. You'll never get to do t over, so don't spend your time being resentful.

Daym thats a straightforward answer.

I don't see what the big deal is. Look at it this way. They just got engaged. When do you think they SHOULD plan their date? Its two months away from yours. Its not like its in the same month.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm not completely distraught about this, but just wanted some other people's opinions. There are other reasons their wedding is upsetting me, but I don't want to get into everything. Originally, their date was a lot closer to our wedding. Thanks for everyone's advice!

I wouldn't be upset at all but that's my personal feeling. We have 11 weddings in less than a year, some days and weeks apart. If we all waited whatever you guys think is the appropriate amount of time between us, the last person would be getting married in 2014.
