Only if I were paying for it and they refused....if you aren't paying for it, then I don't think you can be upset-- think of all the $$ they are already paying..JMHO. If you want them to do it, and offer to pay, and they still say no- then I would be upset.

If all the other girls agreed to pay themselves and they said no- I may be miffed, but I wouldn't approach them about it.

nooooo dont be upset! Your wedding day is about YOU and your fh! Trust me, noone is going to even NOTICE your FSILs... Im sure they will look fine, maybe not GORGEOUS, but YOURE the only one who wants to be gorgeous that day
and theres going to be SO MUCH going on that day, youre not going to notice or CARE what they look like!

nope.... I'm letting my bridal party do what they want... they're wearing what they want, and using professional hair / make-up only if they desire...

My theory is that these are the people I love, and I want them to be themselves.... comfortable and happy...

I have 10 girls in my BP, If i could pay for there hair I would...But I can't. I feel like it is the BM's responsiblity to look beautiful for a wedding that they are in... I have 4 FSIL and All of them are resisting...And 6 other BM have no issues with it....

If I only told you the stories of what they have been doing to me....I guess maybe this is a little thing however....I am starting to get pretty pissed because everything is building up....

I feel like being in a wedding you already know how much it will cost you its 65 dollars....I mean really...I am not saying get your make up done...I am simply stating I want them all to have there hair professionally done...I haven't asked anything from them....

ETA: Maybe I am getting upset so much...because there is more to it than just their hair being done.....

i gotta say, unless you are offering to pay for it....this is just one of those things you gotta let go. if they dont' want to spend the money for a professional stylist...what can ya do? don't sweat it, cause in the grand scheme of things...what THEY look like is sooooooo NOT important.

They are the ones that will look silly with bad hair, and you will look just THAT much MORE beautiful next to them. it would upset me a little bit if my girls hadn't gotten their hair done that day, but i would have dealt with it. i made sure to pay for their make up so they wouldn't have to pay for that.

if you think their hair looks bad that day, just tell the photographer to get a few shots of them and then cut them out of the pics!

I would not be upset about that. I think it is fair to suggest that but not to demand it from someone.

I would not be upset. I would just let them know that there hair needs to be nice and neat the day of the wedding.

I might be a bit upset, but unless I offered to pay, there really wouldn't be anything I could do except live with it.

I know you want them all to look great for pics and stuff, but no body will be looking at them anyway!

I have to agree with some of the other girls. I would be upset if I was your BM and you were insisting that I pay to get my hair done. With all of the other costs of being in a wedding I don't think that you can force anyone to pay for their hair. So unless you're going to pay for it, let them do their own hair.

I wouldn't be upset, it's possible they just can't afford it. It will work out. This is why I'm glad I only have 1 to worry about, my MOH.

No, I wouldnt be upset...I'll let them wear their hair however they want and get it dont by whoever....themselves or have it done.

eh, I'm not sure. I don't think it's a huge deal, but if it's important to you maybe you could find out why they have a prob with it. If it's money, and it means that much to you, would you be opposed to offering to pay for it? Or maybe paying for them to just have a trial to see if they like it... then if they do they can pay for it the day of the wedding...?

If they're paying for it then expect them to complaint, especially if they don't have the money. If they have the money and don't want to spend it, they'll complaint. If you offer to pay for it, they may not like the artist and still complaint...so expect complaint, complaint, complaint. If they're in your bridal party...then you can demand it and if they refuse then you know where to send them...family or not!!!! I had a BM giving me grief about hair and make up and I said, if I continued to hear anyone's mouth about MY decisions, then I was going to bump everyone off the wedding and just elope....Everyone backed off!!!

It definitely sounds like this is just 'one more thing' of a list of things done/said by these girls that have already gotten to you! ...I know what you mean!! I agree with the brides that are telling you to not worry about it, and know that everyone will be looking at you that day! I would just make sure they know that you want their hair 'done', and not just brushed (like half up or a bun or whatever). Not worth stressing over!

Hmm...I wouldnt be mad if they didnt get it professionally done..but I would like to see in advance how they plan on getting it done...but if they dont have the $$$..then its hard to get mad..yknow..
