Your FMIL still hasn't gotten her dress yet 2 months before her only son's wedding.....
but she has a back-up dress from JCPenny??? Do they actually sell Formal Dresses? I am not very sure.....

My mom didn't get her dress until about three weeks before the wedding. (She was dieting.) Yeah, I got stressed out about it, but you know what? In the end, it was fine.
It's her dress. It doesn't reflect on you. As long as she's not wearing white, something completely inappropriate, or the same dress as your mom, it will be OK. My mom ended up getting a really nice, flattering dress at Nordstrom. Your FMIL will find something.

Oh man Lisa she still hasen't gone! What is wrong with her? Is there any way to hint at mb it's about time to look for her gown? Cmon' who wants to wear a back up? That is why it is called a back up in case your first choice falls through!

I would not worry. My mom ended up finding an awesome dress at Lord and Taylor like 5 weeks before my wedding. Its totally possibly to find something nice off the rack at a department store.

I have to though cuz I'm in the same predicament...my problem is, she lives in South Carolina. We've traded emails of pictures...but she just can't find anything. And it's a MONTH AWAY! She has way more on her mind than this though- lots of stuff she has to work out before she can even deal with a dress right now.
Your FMIL will find something!!! let it be the least of your worries!! I'm sure she cares enough to look her best!!!

Neither my mother nor my FMIL has gotten dresses as far as I know.
I have too much other stuff to worry about, I agree with the other girls who say it's their drama.
